WASHINGTON — A CIA officer has been relieved of his duty after being caught leaking classified information to the media.
CIA officials will not reveal the officer's name, assignment, or the information that was leaked. The firing is a highly unusual move, although there has been an ongoing investigation into leaks in the CIA.
One official called this a "damaging leak" that deals with operational information and said the fired officer "knowingly and willfully" leaked the information to the media and "was caught."

Wonder what it would take for them to turn against one another. All families are disfunctional to one degree another.
The egos in this group are phenomenal, and they're hardly harnessed to higher values.
For instance, try to imagine being in a room with Larry Johnson and Joe Wilson at the same time. How would it possibly contain both of those egos??? How would a football stadium? Especially if it had a roof!!!
It's not hard to imagine what the carrots are with this group: fame, fortune, confirmation of their worthiness to be the Elite. What are the sticks? How do they keep one another from running on with conflicting plans and ideas???

These Senators and Congressmen should rethink their support of McCarthy as a "whistle-blower" and realize that what she did was side-step Congress and turn them into ineffective whiners instead of elected overseers. She took away their ability to influence the situation by going public.
It might be nice to see Congress get in front of a problem for once and use their oversight powers proactively, instead of holding hearings after-the-fact and calling that oversight, or defending leakers when the leaker really took Congress' responsibility away from them.

You never know! It would be a great idea to keep up these operations until every last traitor is driven from the CIA/FBI/NSA. The Clintonistas days are numbered, if this is the case. The next step must be prosecution and conviction.

This was done deliberately by Clinton; he had it all set up before he left office. Between this and the fact that he made a lot of employees civil servants who had never been so categorized previously tells me he was setting up a shadow government to bring down the new president.

I think there may well be some real idealists/ideologues in this cabal (as I think we now has every right to call them). However, I think most of these people are in it for power and for money, but they probably feel so much better if they can convince themselves that at the same time they are working for their old ideals.
