Just breaking on Fox...

No details, but the agent was caught dead to rights leaking....

Update: CIA Officer Fired for Leaking Classified Info to Media

WASHINGTON — A CIA officer has been relieved of his duty after being caught leaking classified information to the media.

CIA officials will not reveal the officer's name, assignment, or the information that was leaked. The firing is a highly unusual move, although there has been an ongoing investigation into leaks in the CIA.

One official called this a "damaging leak" that deals with operational information and said the fired officer "knowingly and willfully" leaked the information to the media and "was caught."

I don't think she's an atty, but she is in the IG's office and may have played a part in the referral which I have always believed was based on a pack of lies.

"If we can't get Sandy Burglar, we sure can't get Mary."

Oh, I don't know. Mary's a small fish. Sandy is a Clinton stooge. In Berger's case, the political "fix" was put in by members of the Washington Democrat establishment. We'll see what happens. You can bet there have been lots of Democrats making lots of phone calls this morning. I hope some of them were to the CIA, and are on tape.;)

IMO, I think we should keep all our finds right here .. IN ONE THREAD .. that grows with every link. Otherwise, it gets so confusing to try to remember where you saw a post and want to add to it.

Let this be the main thread about THE TRAITOR MARY MCCARTHY AND THE NEST OF VILLAINS AT THE CIA AND OUR INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES to which we return with info.

I think the link below may have been already posted. I just thought her response to the person in Philliy was rich.

Washington Post intelligence reporter Dana Priest was online Thursday, Nov. 3, at 12:30 p.m. ET to discuss the latest developments in national security and intelligence.

CIA Holds Terror Suspects in Secret Prisons. (Washington Post, Nov. 2, 2005)
Today's Live Discussions

Dana Priest covers intelligence and wrote " The Mission: Waging War and Keeping Peace With America's Military " (W.W. Norton). The book chronicles the increasing frequency with which the military is called upon to solve political and economic problems.

The transcript follows.

Philadelphia, Pa.: Your and your editor's explanation of the reason for keeping the European locations secret is terribly troubling.

In essence it seems as though you are concerned that the embarrassment and political consequences that exposure would likely cause might lead to hesitation to be involved with such schemes in the future.

How is your editor's stance and your failure to criticism square with journalistic ethics?

Dana Priest: Political fallout was not a consideration in my mind.

They think we're that dumb ... that we don't connect the dots and do their research for them .. that they can just blithely gloss over such deadly and bombastic information 'cause we're so clueless and indifferent to what happens to our country.

Evidently there is no proof the secret prisons even existed in Europe. And they won a Pulitzer Prize!

Here's a blurb on Ms. Priest's husband:

William Goodfellow is the executive director of the Center for International Policy in Washington, DC. The Center sponsors scholarly research and leads activist campaigns to advance policies based on multilateralism, demilitarization, democracy, and respect for human rights. Prior to helping establish the Center for International Policy in 1975, Goodfellow was an associate with the Indochina Resource Center, an anti-war think tank.

Just think how different things would be if the MSM could/would react and research a breaking story as fast as FReepers?

Every Sunday news program would have scrapped their guest lineup and focused on this story.

Ask someone from the Ohio Rat party to explain what the 5k McCarthy donation was used for? If they wont come on, invite others to guess what it was used for.

See if Joe Wilson would like some more airtime to explain what connections he had to Mary McCarthy.

Well...You get the idea.

"That's my fear also. I hope the REAL story on Burglar comes out in my lifetime."

Here's my version of the REAL Sandy Berger story. Berger was sent by Clinton to the Archives to vet the documents before they went up to the 9/11 Commission. Berger sees the memos from Clarke on offing bin Laden, and Berger's own notations vetoing the plan. Berger says to himself, "Holy Shiite, when the Commission sees this, they'll rake me over the coals!" Berger whips out cellphone and calls Clinton's attorney, whose name escapes me at the moment. I sure wish I had a transcript of that conversation. Anyway, the upshot is that Berger decides to "mistakenly" carry every copy of the memo he can get his hands on out of the Archives. It's a blatant violation of the law, and he did it to save his and Clinton's hides.

Here's something on Ms. Priest's husband's organization:

Center for International Policy
From SourceWatch

Center for International Policy (http://www.ciponline.org/) (CIP) was "founded in 1975, in the wake of the Vietnam War, by former diplomats and peace activists. This mix of those from inside the government and those from outside by choice has shaped both our methodology and our agenda.

"The Center has led or played a vital role in an impressive number of citizens' initiatives. Working closely with allies in Congress, including two members who were to become the Center's co-chairs, Tom Harkin and Don Fraser, the Center campaigned to make sure that a government's human rights record became a factor in allocating foreign aid. In the 1980s the Center staff became the Washington advocates for Costa Rican president Oscar Arias's peace plan for Central America.

"In the 1990s the Center attracted a number of senior diplomats to its staff and expanded its agenda to include reform of the nation's intelligence agencies. We continued to play an important role in Central America's post-conflict reconciliation, the effort to end the counter-productive isolation of Cuba, and efforts to limit military assistance to the Western Hemisphere, especially Colombia.

"This work continues today, along with a robust program on security in south and northeast Asia, cutting-edge work on illegal financial flows, and a new effort to increase citizen participation in Central America."

Recall on Update II I linked to a bio of this mole from the CSIS, well they have taken it down. It took them 30 minutes to complete this but thankfully it’s cached here plus I have a screenshot of the cache here.

Check out the website. FR mentioned a few times with links

Isn't that special....uber-lib working against the US, and bragging about it! What is this "efforts to limit military assistance to the Western Hemisphere, especially Colombia." about? Efforts to limit attempts to eliminate the Colombian drug trade?

From http://www.penraker.com/archives/2005_11.html:

Dana Priest is married to William Goodfellow, who is director of the "Center for Interntional Policy", which has people like Mel Goodman, (former CIA analyst and State Department Analyst working for it). Goodman goes on pacifica radio and says things like "George Tenet said to the President, ‘Oh, that's a slam dunk, Mr. President. If you want phony intelligence, I can get it for you.’

Of course, Goodman made up the part about "making up phony intelligence".

The Center also has a new initiative to revise the CIA. Among its goals: reverse the "militarization" of the intelligence community. And to stop the appointment of a CIA intelligence czar, and to keep intelligence analysis from being centralized.

That is the real story here: What in the world has gotten into the CIA? What connections does the CIA have to the Post, or Post reporters? After all those years of seeing Hollywood movies about plots by the CIA to overthrow our own government, here they are - some in the CIA seem to be working along those lines. And the Washington Post knows this, and does nothing.
