Just breaking on Fox...

No details, but the agent was caught dead to rights leaking....

Update: CIA Officer Fired for Leaking Classified Info to Media

WASHINGTON — A CIA officer has been relieved of his duty after being caught leaking classified information to the media.

CIA officials will not reveal the officer's name, assignment, or the information that was leaked. The firing is a highly unusual move, although there has been an ongoing investigation into leaks in the CIA.

One official called this a "damaging leak" that deals with operational information and said the fired officer "knowingly and willfully" leaked the information to the media and "was caught."

They sure have --- Mary McCarthy's name is GONE from the CSIS site... that was quick.

Check Google caches. If she's in there, save the page.

So the Democrats now have their Keynote speaker for their 2008 Convention. The Party of Treason's latest hero. . .

LOL. . .pathetic and predictible. . .and plenty of back-ups, in case Mary cannot make an appearance.

Wondering when Fox News will catch up to Drudge. . .

. . .they are still headlining. . only .'unidentified' agent as opposed to even ID'ing. . .as does Drudge. . .'senior director for Intelligence programs'. . .

They should ask Gen Weasel Clark to expound on this. . .or Mac McLarty. . .(along with Mary, CSIS et als)

...about time someone with a government job gets fired!
Hard times don't exist with the federal employees inside the belt way;
they only get "letters of Reprimand" "paid leave".....LOL!

Don't ya just love it when the press writes up a "paid leave" as some kind of punishment?!

I wonder if they were humming the theme from Mission:Impossible as they were getting ready to testify at the 9/11 Commission hearings!

They thought they were going to be in the history books ala Dean against Nixon!

I hope they come after the chapter on Benedict Arnold's treasonous activities!

MR. ROEMER: I'm still not sure I understand how that's going to be helpful post 9/11 in terms of getting warning out and fixing a system that had some real problems in it, but John can you -- Mr. Gannon, can you help at all in explaining why that officer was not responsible for terrorism and if it in fact has been fixed at this point?

MR. GANNON: Well, I think there were -- prior to 9/11 I think there were -- there was more than one officer who was responsible for articulating the terrorist threat. If you will pardon me, if I could go back to that point, and I left the intelligence community about that time and I think the major problem we were having and those officers were having was prioritizing the various threats we had.

I recall going to the I think it was the Armed Services Committee with Director Tenet and Senator Levin at the time, did what he does so well, he said okay, you have laid out for us, a very rich and diverse threat assessment here.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Things were dicey," said Rand Beers, recalling the stack of classified reports about plots to shoot, bomb, burn and poison Americans. He stared at the color-coded threats for five minutes. Then he called his wife: I'm quitting. http://www.fas.org/irp/news/1998/06/98061701_tpo.html
~~~~~~~~~~~~ Murtha's just a bit late with his cut and run option, these folks beat him to it. Abortion shouldn't be such a big deal to the left. If they would only pull out during sex as much as they do everywhere else....we could kill two birds with one stone.

The NY Times actually reported her $2,000 Kerry contribution.

Naturally, their curiosity ended there; no mention of her $5k to the Ohio Dems or her husband's donation.

Found this on another forum, no source data...

'Prior to her government service, Mrs. McCarthy held positions in both
the private sector and academia. She was a Director, then Vice
President of BERI, SA, a firm conducting financial and political risk
assessments, from 1979-1984.'

Wonder what BERI did and who else might be associated with it. Everything's about networking, dontcha know? lol
