" ... Why any GOP candidate would ever trust him again is beyond me to comprehend!"

That's two of us.

Obviously those memories are about as long as my 8 year old grandson's attention span.

What is truly telling is that Rollins was not identified as THE Ed Rollins.

Why did Harris hire him? I don't know, but it doesn't look good for Harris, or those she depends on for advise.

Found more interesting details on Ed Rollins here:
http://www.military.com/NewContent/0,13190,Goss_010604,00.html

Excerpt:
A few months ago, I attended my 30th high school reunion. New Jersey's Millburn High School class of 1973 was loaded with great looking ladies, and one of them was Shari Scharfer, a 6 foot tall beauty who still looks like a Victoria Secret runway model. One of our school's most accomplished graduates, Shari is now the Director of Daytime Programming at CBS. Shari's was accompanied by her fiancé, a man I recognized immediately as Ed Rollins, the political campaign guru of Ronald Reagan, Ross Perot, and former New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman, to name just a few.

He also ran the California senatorial campaign of Michael Huffington, who at the time was married to a woman Ed apparently despises more than any other living creature - Arianna Huffington.

His resume may have left out the Perot connection.

It's too early to surrender the Harris campaign!

She didn't 'cut & run' in 2000 and we all need to remember that!

I know her and she's got what it takes to win it in November despite the polls & the press!

BTW ... I don't vote for Democrat Party choices, ever.

I don't vote for third party candidates, ever.

That leaves the Republican candidate, only.

Tampa Tribune was at it again today too. She must have been a great Congresswoman, too effective probably for the media and they want their good old boy Nelson back in there to lobby for liberal causes.

Nelson is being supported by propaganda. He can't stand on his own two feet without the MSM.

Getting rid of naysayers was a great move. Wait for the debates. Wait for Katherine's ideas about the future and Nelson's nothingness.

Suggest you write a letter to his wife, Columba who will not permit him to run!

Maybe you can change her mind?

'Bland as Buttermilk Bill' Nelson will bore the voters while our Kate's energy, ideas and vision for Florida will WOW them!

Congresswoman Harris' Statement:

"At the time I had a meal with Mitchell Wade, I thought that my campaign would be reimbursing my share of the cost. I later discovered that somehow this was not done. I then discussed with my staff the best way to correct this oversight. Neither I nor my advisors ever thought it would be appropriate to reimburse Mr.Wade in the midst of the government investigations into his conduct. Just to resolve any questions, I have donated to a local Florida charity $100 which will more than adequately compensate for the cost of my beverage and appetizers.

"The night of our dinner, Mr. Wade purchased several expensive bottles of wine which he took home with him uncorked -- this is apparently the reason the bill was so high."

"I take full responsibility for this oversight and continue to operate under a policy of openness, transparency, and accountability to the people of my district and the state of Florida. While the rules are complicated, as a member of Congress, it is my responsibility to know and obey them. It has always been my intent to conduct myself in an ethical manner, and I regret this oversight."

that tens of millions of dollars of taxpayer money will be forfeited for the price of one crummy meal?

Or, a game of golf? As long as I've been in business, a meal or golf outing has never gotten me anywhere, other than the friendship it bestowed.

I do not understand the attitude toward Harris.

The woman should be a lock. She must have pissed somebody off somewhere in the last few years.

That cannot be a bad thing.

She's starting to dispel the fairy tale that Nelson is a 'moderate'.......

Here's what she told supporters on the Campaign Tour:

Harris said Nelson voted against a constitutional amendment defining marriage, opposed a federal ban on "partial birth" abortion and opposed Bush administration tax cuts. She said the National Journal , a non-partisan but conservative magazine, ranked his voting record 78 percent liberal, compared to scores of 71 percent for Sen. Hillary Clinton and 72 percent for Sen. Charles Schumer, both New York Democrats.

"You can't call yourself a moderate when you vote more liberal than Hillary Clinton," she said.

Harris said if she beats Nelson, President Bush and the GOP would get a double benefit in the last two years of his presidency.

"It is actually worth two votes, not just one, because we take down a liberal Democrat and we add a conservative Republican who'll vote for our values," she said.
Harris said Nelson has spoken conservatively in Florida but "he's beholden to a far-left party" in Washington.

The other thing I can tell you is that the Harris Campaign is running much better since she got rid of those naysayers. The staff is now upbeat, responsive & hard working!

And 30 points behind.

Do you live your life by polls?

Does a pollster tell you how you should FEEL each day?

No, but I don't turn my brain off before I log into FR.

A poll maybe a few points off, but 30 points? And she hasbeen 30 points down for a while. No poll (even a very biased one) could be that far off.

Even if it's off by 10 points, she is down by 20 points.

The cult of Harris just can't cope with this.

The brand new photos of Harris hitting on/playing footsy with a University of Florida student reporter aren't helping. Harris seems either clueless or truely a floosie. Nelson is basically running unopposed.
