Murder Shocks Brussels While PM and Cardinal Blame Victims( African Muslims VS Belgian society )
Canada Free Press ^ | Thursday, April 20, 2006 | Paul Belien

Last Wednesday Joe Van Holsbeeck, 17 years of age, was murdered in Brussels Central Station. He was stabbed five times in the heart by North African youths. They demanded that he give them his MP3 player. When Joe refused he was savagely murdered. The atrocity happened during the evening rush hour on a crowded platform. Though there were hundreds of people on the platform, no-one interfered – perhaps because many people do not notice what is happening around them on a crowded, noisy and busy platform where passengers are rushing to catch their trains.

Joe’s murderers escaped and have not yet been traced. The murderers were filmed, however, by security cameras. Today, one week later, the Brussels police released the pictures. The police say they are looking for two youths aged between 16 and 18-years-old. Joe’s murder has shocked the Belgians. For an entire week the police, the authorities and most of the media have tried to downplay the fact that the killers are Muslim youths. Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt and Cardinal Godfried Danneels addressed the indignation, but gave it a spin of their own. How was it possible for such an atrocity to take place in a crowd with no-one interfering, they asked. Both Verhofstadt and Danneels said that Joe was a victim of “indifference in Belgian society.” “Where were you last Wednesday at 4 pm?!” the Cardinal asked the congration in Brussels Cathedral during his Easter sermon on Sunday. The Cardinal blamed the murder on the materialism and greed of Western society “where people get killed for an MP3 player.”

Belgian citizens realize, however, that the murder has nothing to do with “indifference in Belgian society,”

the first thing the police officers who investigated the murder wanted to know was whether Joe had made “racist remarks” whilst refusing to hand over his MP3 player. In Belgium, the senator says

This is what passes for journalism nowadays...

You just don't hear about youths getting murdered for Air Jordans anymore.

The Cardinal blamed the murder on the materialism and greed of Western society

I see three ways the Cardinal could have gone:

1) Reference Moses and the Ten Commandments. Emphasize "Thou shalt not kill".
2) Reference Jesus and the Great Commandment "Love one another".
3) Reference Karl Marx and Social Justice and slam the West for producing desirable goods.

He probably felt it was an easy choice.

Parts of Brussels look like Belle Epoque Europe after a successful Moorish invasion...old men in robes with hookahs, trashy streets akin to pre-Giuliani New York, etc.

Didn't Cain kill Abel before there were any kind of 'materialism' and 'greed of Western society'? Why do a cardinal go with social theory instead of biblical teachings?

Easy for him to say. What does the good cardinal and the North African young thugs have in common?
I'll leave it up to the reader to decide.

What's the connection, if any, between a society that protects the innocent, the normal and one which doesn't?
When I first saw the Eloi and the morlocks, suspension of disbelief was still part of my entertainment life. It was necessary, in order to accept that human beings and the human spirit could be reduced to the status of cattle. How could that be possible?

It has become obvious: A society that does not believe in the death penalty is the only prerequisite...
I shall have to revisit the ancient philosophers... and the Bible, to try to understand how humanity, including the parasitic "cardinal", could devolve to this.

The journalist is right, why didn't one of those honest Citizens draw his legally carried firearm and put a stop to this murder?

Oh yeah, Europe has gun control and serfs, not CCW and Citizens.

"Didn't Cain kill Abel before there were any kind of 'materialism' and 'greed of Western society'? Why do a cardinal go with social theory instead of biblical teachings"

Good point! Nowadays it's not fashionable to say "good" or "bad", but instead, "maladjusted" or "disadvantaged", or "alleged". Since the 60s we've lost the focus on all values except money, and even that slips and slides in relative value like a block of ice on a hot stove.

We live in an age of no maps and no compasses.

The "indifference" in Belgium is the same as the "indifference" here in the U.S.:

Our leaders are indifferent to how uncontrolled, unplanned immigration, illegal AND legal, can destroy a nation.

Time for wholesale voting out of office.

Forest Hills is a neighborhood in the borough of Queens. Queens is one of the five constituent boroughs of New york City.

That is but one ingredient. Domestically-raised hoods, criminals and murderers, as cited above, are just as easily coddled and tolerated, rather than executed.

Time for wholesale voting out of office.
We agree on the solution. How do we actually accomplish it?

I and the majority of 'Belgium Society' agree.

""""Belgian citizens realize, however, that the murder has nothing to do with “indifference in Belgian society,”""
