Ya see, we need amnes...er, I mean a guest worker program because....
Yeah. Right. It's a religion of peace too.
Wow, what a coincidence...
/extreme sarcasm
He should pitch it in the Pacific while he is so close to it.
What language will he be speaking?
He is putting out the "WELCOME" Mat.
You guys are the greatest.
Not too many cause such a political stir that they force the President of the United States to come and respond to them.
Congratulations to you and the others who have made it all happen.
Minutemen rock!
OC is something like 1/3rd Hispanic
No info on who he'll be speaking to?
Will it be the usual scripted and tightly choreographed event with a hand picked, pre-screened audience of loyal supporters?
Gotta show the cameras how enthusiastically the common folks support W's
immigration plan.
Yep, it's gonna be a regular small Town Hall meeting. Full of sponteneity, candor
and extemporeneous speechmaking by W.
Investing more negative political capital to make more negative political capital.
Is this a Rove plan? Like that 60 day SS reform tour?
I expect to hear Bush once again slander the American worker by saying illegals do jobs Americans won't do. Instead, Bush ought to admit the truth: that the traitors who hire illegal aliens won't hire Americans because illegals can be paid less.
Hmmm...ya think he'll go on John and Ken's show?
Bwahahahahahaha......
OC/Irvine is like a white alamo. It's where the richer whites from LA want to live in gated communities to keep the "riffraff" out.
A bunch of Arrianna Huffington limousine liberals who are always preaching about speaking for the poor, but never consort with them unless they are cutting their grass or washing their cars.
The issue of a guest worker program is completely separate from the issue of illegal aliens.
We have a guest worker program. It may need to be reformed but illegal aliens are those who have not applied to be guest workers. There are 11 million of them. (or more) The only thing needing reform now concerns illegal aliens and border security. We need to enforce the existing laws respecting the presence and employment of illegal aliens and border security.
Border security is the number one problem in this debate. The flood of illegal aliens is a major factor in relation to our lack of border security but it is only one factor. There is also a matter of national security in a time of war and in an age when terrorists have set their sights on inflicting mass destruction on our society.
After the issues of border security and millions of illegal foreign nationals on our soil the matter of guest workers is very small. Until the first two problems are thoroughly and firmly addressed the guest worker issue should not even be discussed.
Immigration and a guest worker program are separate issues from the above.
The President the Senate and the House need to get that message with unambiguous resolve.
Secure the border!
Crack down on employers!
Deport illegal aliens.
Bring in immigrants who have been waiting for years with papers in hand!
Now is the time to put the pressure on!"According to this new bill that's tied up in the Senate, illegal immigrants who can prove they've been here for two years would be allowed to stay. So follow the logic here. If you can prove you broke the current law for two years, you've protected under the new law." --Jay Leno
The first element?
Islam, a Religion of Peace®? ( links, blogs, quips, quotes, aggravating pictures ) is located here- click the Pic, and scroll backwards:
The other, somewhat interlocking element is this one:
"Thunder on the Border," click the picture:
What is happening under the radar is that the alien lobby, certain elements of radical Islam, and some on the Left share common goals, tactics, and exploitations of our system and society.
Not a conspiracy, but rather a "coming together on common points." A confluence- becoming a tsumani...
BTTT
I love my Prez but on this issue all he does do is TALK. If something isn't done, there will be a civil war in this nation.
I'm rather dreading hearing the speech. Because I'm pretty sure he's going to be saying things that make me regret ever voting for him. (and being in TX, I voted for him in both governor's races as well!). It's a real crummy feeling, considering how much I've supported him in the past. But his notions about amnesty/guest-workers is the cultural equivalent of surrendering to the terrorists, as far as I'm concerned. It just makes me ill to think about it. The country is being thrown away before my very eyes.
Could someone confirm whether the public will be allowed to ask questions?
If so, let's try and craft some interesting ones. They need to be short, self-contained, and difficult to weasel out of.
1. George P. Bush was scheduled to speak at the Dallas march on 4/09/06. Does that signify that the Bush family supports citizens of other countries marching in our streets demanding rights to which they aren't entitled?
2. Hundreds of thousands of citizens of other countries are marching in our streets and making a show of force. They demand that we change our laws to suit them. If we refuse to surrender, what are the chance that you think some of them will riot? Has your failure to secure our borders and oppose illegal immigration put the U.S. at great risk of civil disturbances?
3. On dozens of occasions, you've promoted your "guest" worker program. However, wouldn't our "guests" end up staying here permanently? Their children will be U.S. citizens, they'll buy homes and start businesses, and on and on. In short, nothing is going to make them leave. By calling it a "guest" worker program, haven't you simply been lying?
