Snugs, my 2 cents about the glasses [I have bifocals and may be near to needing trifocals] is that they are a big hassle and don't work well.
My reading lens is on the bottom, and I can't see the computer screen without tipping my neck way back. I have a pair of bifocals that I wear most of the time, but I just got a pair of single vision this year for the computer. And I'm getting a single vision pair of sunglasses for driving.

I also have lots of trouble walking down steps, and I can't do hiking trails because of the vision problem. The reading lens on the bottom does not help in times like that. I end up having to walk very carefully, bend my head down, take elevators when possible. It is the pits.

The special purpose single vision work much better, and the bifocals for general all around use.
I know people who have the line free graduated lenses and they have as much trouble as I do with walking down steps.

I must admit I am not looking forward to it and have the feeling they will be going back after 30 days and being exchanged for single vision and separate reading pair.
