When I look at our politicians today, Politicians of both parties. I see them catering to Muslims, the Jesse Jacksons,Lobbyists dollars, Illegal immigrants, watching gas prices go thru the roof and voting to stop drilling or looking for oil in our own country. I see people who suborn killing innocent babies by abortion. Who is there to vote for? I see none that are worthy of my vote.

He promises them a bomb for every pot.

I lived in Stockton for 8 years and proudly voted for Richard Pombo each and every time I could. Lotta' conservatives in the area.

I.... California is going to hell in a handbasket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No its not. McCloskey is a fool, a RINO and doesn't stand a chance of winning that seat. He's running against GOP hero Richard Pombo in the primary. There are kooks running in primaries against our best incumbents all over the country. There is nothing unique to California about this.

This is alarming and reflects terribly on McCloskey. Unfortunately, Richard Pombo has been implicated in the Jack Abramoff scandal.
To: Clintonfatigued
Why is it alarming that he wants Muslims to vote for him?
I don't see anything wrong with that. There seems to be nothing in this article that alarms me.
To: Clintonfatigued
Unfortunately, Richard Pombo has been implicated in the Jack Abramoff scandal. I'm trying to keep a list of elected official that we know are under investigation. Do you know if prosecutors or the FBI has shown any interest in Pombo?
I'm trying to figure out who's really in danger; not just who received Abramoff-linked money.
To: zbigreddogz
That's because you're not familiar with McCloskey's record. He was very pro-Arab and anti-Israel while he was in Congress.
To: Clintonfatigued
I see.
Well, if that's the case, it's still not all that alarming, because I doubt he'll get anywhere. When's the last time a Republican got anywhere by trashing Israel?
Is this an open seat? Or is he challenging an incumbent?
To: ElkGroveDan
Thanks for your analysis.

Who hasn't been implicated?
To: zbigreddogz
He's challenging Congressman Richard Pombo. Normally, Pombo wouldn't have any problem, but things aren't going all that well for Pombo this year.
