Only the conservative teachers should be allowed to carry. The liberal ones don't want anything to do with guns. Although if the Liberal ones want to commit suicide, they should be loaned one by a Conservative.

No need to shut it down.. I take care of it at home by blocking it at my router. Along with MTV, CNN, NBC, ABC and CBS. ;)

Only followup question: Should the principal be provided a throwdown?

Shut it down? What kind of
patriotic American are you? Or have you forgotten about this lil' thang?
And don't gimme that
"safety" or
"Protect the kids!" argument, neither....
Ben said it best.

Tip to future conspirators:
It's probably best not to put your "secret" plans on the frickin' internet!

I have been weighing a few new career options, including grade school teacher or dog trainer.
Think I'll go train some dogs.

All the unpatriotic authoritarians and statists here would just love congress to censor everything they perceived as a danger.
These people need to understand that liberty and freedom is inherently risky and dangerous. And an American patriot who cherishes his heritage should want it no other way.

Let's just admit the failure of the 30 year social experiment and put God back into the schools where he belongs.
The vacuum that his absence created drew in the most vile stuff.

TIME TO SHUT DOWN MYSPACE! I'm no fan of myspace.com

I'm a recently retired high school teacher who was in charge of the school's technology. I used to monitor our students postings on MySpace and Live Journal. You wouldn't believe how many problems were prevented because we were one step ahead of the kids.

Not the parents fault. The Govt has failed them. The War On Terror and a Republican president has pushed people to do drastic things. Honest.

Another fine example of parents involved with their children's lives. My kids have guns, ammunition and knives.

I just looked it up. Eric Harris had an AOL account and had sort of a "blog" there in which he told of making pipe bombs, taking drugs, homosexual encounters, and so forth. I think it's replicated somewhere but I don't have time to search for it.
Harris got practically no hits, but some mom tipped the sheriff that there were death threats against her son there, so he read the site and when he got to the part about death and pipebombs and guns and a hitlist, he wrote out a search warrant affidavit to go into the kid's homes for a look-see.
He did not feel he had good probable cause, though, and never presented it to a judge to get a warrant. After the Columbine disaster he tried to hide the fact that he "almost" got a warrant. I'm glad I'm not him, to live with that.
The cops in the case on this thread have learned from Columbine, looks like.
