TULTITLAN, Mexico Considered felons by the government, these migrants fear detention, rape and robbery. Police and soldiers hunt them down at railroads, bus stations and fleabag hotels. Sometimes they are deported; more often officers simply take their money.
While migrants in the United States have held huge demonstrations in recent weeks, the hundreds of thousands of undocumented Central Americans in Mexico suffer mostly in silence.
Though Mexico demands humane treatment for its citizens who migrate to the U.S., regardless of their legal status, Mexico provides few protections for migrants on its own soil.

If George W. Bush had any balls at all, he'd tell Vicente Fox to go get screwed. If he were really concerned about National Security, he would put our military on the southern border.
Mexico doesnt need outlaws. most of their cops do the job for them. Bribery , shake downs, guarding dope deals and convoying dope into the USA. What a sheithole
Horrible stuff, but I keep thinking of how much worse our immigration problems would be if the Mexicans simply transited everyone through. We'd have twice as many illegals per year, at least.

The more pressure we keep on Mexico, immigration-wise, the more reformers
inside of Mexico can be emboldened and empowered to scale back monopolists'
abuses down there which keep our own country flooded with economic refugees.
