We've liberated FIFTY-MILLION PEOPLE in less than three years with less than 2000 KIA's.
The Left's poster boys LBJ, JFK and FDR would have given their right arms for successes like these.

The Left's poster boys LBJ, JFK and FDR would have given their right arms for successes like these. For all the failings of those three, they still believed in the righteousness of American power, so I doubt they would be on the side of the moonbats were they alive today.

Fortunately, in this country, unlike most places in the world, we don't allow a majority of Generals the right to select our civilian leaders. Tonight I'm seeing my nephew whom I love. He was born in Peru and grew up in Venezuela. His wife is Mexican. But he's Kansan to the core. Point? Of those four countries, this is the only one that even comes close to a true civilian government.

Since one critic is the object of a ZINNI FOR SENATE movement, his motive is clear.
Since the other generals are part of a POWELL FOR PRESIDENT movement, I'd say their motives are clear as well.
Too bad these generals forgot DUTY HONOR COUNTRY and put political aspirations first.
Seems to me that's how the VN war was lost.

"Critics Assail Rumsfeld, But What Is Their Plan?"
Just the usual leftist, "liberal" hate anything Bush. Hate anything American, realistic or pragmatic. Anything military.

Easy, they are just setting things up for a Wesley Clark candidacy, with all of these generals supporting Herr Clark.

The left simply cannot grasp the big picture. The Iraq operation was a success only if because we have gotten rid of Hussein. (And I hope he is soon dead.) Everything else is gravy. I am for the democratization of Iraq, but I knew that would be a far more difficult task than deposing Hussein.
At the start of the war my wife asked me what will happen to Bush's then very strong poll numbers. I told her the longer we are in Iraq, (and I thought five years would be the minimum), the more his numbers will decline. I knew this war would not be like any other conventional war, and I knew that the backstabbing left would turn into traitors at the first opportunity. I have never lost faith in the mission, and the recent revelations concerning Hussein's documents have proved Bush more right than ever.

There plan is to run away and hide under then bed while sending billions in tribute to the Arab states to buy their love with "increased Foreign aid". There plan would be "Billion in Tribute, not one cent for Defense".
