Real bad news in Afghanistan (Barf Alert)
Josepha Farah's G2 Bulletin (by wa of WorldNetDaily.com) ^ | April 18, 2006 | WorldNetDaily.com

While the Bush administration is on the defensive for its conduct of the war in Iraq, the real setback in the U.S. war effort is coming in Afghanistan where the Taliban is alive, well and thriving throughout the countryside and even in much of neighboring Pakistan, according to an exclusive report in Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.

In a report by Paul L. Williams, author of the new book, "Dunces of Doomsday," and David Dastych, one-eyed Mullah Omar and his army of radical Islamic students are currently in control of all of the rural and mountain areas of Afghanistan, including Khost, Paktia, Paktika, Ghazni, Zabul, Helmand, and Oruzgan, as well as a vast expanse of eastern and southern provinces including sections of Kandahar. They also have become the central governing body in South and North Qaziristan and other tribal territories of Pakistan.

The news comes in part from an interview with Hamid Mir, the only journalist to conduct face-to-face interviews with Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri in the wake of 9-11.

Isn't Paul L. Williams the author of "American Hiroshima"? Does anyone know anything about this Mir character? Why do I smell propaganda and/or fearmongering here?

ALL news out of Afghanistan states that every time the tally-wackers try to attack us, the Canadians, or even the Afghan police, many tally-whackers die, and few if any injuries are suffered by our side.

Also Pakistan is killing the bejeezus out of these pukes. END OF STORY!

I believe so, but would like to see the substance of his argument rebutted rather than point to the fact that the author lacks credibility.

That is the impression I get. Still, I would like to see a more detailed rebuttal of the substance of his argument.

There's enough of a track record of basically everything related to Joseph Farah regarding defense, intelligence, and terrorism matters (and everything else really) being worthless garbage I don't think the effort is necessary.

Simply appearing in a "G2 bulletin" removes the credibility from anything.

Paul Williams wrote the lyrics to "We've Only Just Begun" and many other classics.

Paul Williams (probably NOT the same one) was an awful, out-of-tune vocalist for Allan Holdsworth's jazz fusion band in the 1980s.

No it is definitely not the same person:

Author Paul L. Williams, Ph.D., is a journalist and the author of "The Al Qaeda Connection: International Terrorism, Organized Crime, and the Coming Apocalypse"; "The Vatican Exposed: Money, Murder, and the Mafia"; and "Osama’s Revenge: The Next 9/11 — What the Media and the Government Haven’t Told You." He has served as a consultant for the FBI, as editor and publisher of the Metro in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and as an adjunct professor of humanities at the University of Scranton.

I believe that he is the one who is pushing the "American Hiroshima" theory.
