BTW...the small explosion in Jersey damaged the front end of a car and destroyed a good chuck of the concrete curb.

LEXINGTON -- Authorities are investigating a homemade bomb that
exploded beneath a car in a parking lot near several baseball fields
where little leaguers were playing.
The explosion happened around 4:15 p.m. Saturday in this city about
25 miles east of Jackson. No one was hurt, including a person
sitting inside the car. The car sustained minor damage, said
Lexington Police Chief Roger Loftin.

He said the explosive device was sent to the Bureau of Alcohol,
Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for analysis, and that no other
devices were found when authorities did a sweep of the area.
Loftin said one of his investigators was coaching at a nearby field
and heard the explosion.
"He said it sounded like a car backfiring," Loftin said.

Forces soldier after an explosion ripped apart an apartment earlier
this weekend.
Officials say traces of military explosives were found in the
building. Police believe the soldier was in the apartment at the
time of the explosion, but he has not been seen since.
No one was injured in the Friday night blast, and the damage was
contained to the one apartment in the building.
Police suspect the soldier was based at Canadian Forces Base
Valcartier, located just outside of Quebec City.
CFB Valcartier says it will not comment on the incident until police
complete their investigation.

"IAF strike kills Islamic Jihad leader"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Missiles fired by IAF planes slammed into a jeep in Gaza City Saturday evening, killing Muhammad Dadouh, 40, considered Islamic Jihad's most senior military commander in the Gaza Strip.
In addition to Dadouh, Hanan Aman, 25, her five-year-old son and the child's grandmother, who were in a nearby taxi, were killed in the attack, Palestinian Authority officials said. Five other bystanders were wounded, including Aman's three-year-old daughter.
The army said that in addition to several other attacks against Israeli targets, Dadouh was personally involved in the firing of a Grad-type Katyusha rocket that fell near a Netiv Ha'asara farm last Tuesday, killing 30 chickens. That attack was the third time Gaza terrorists fired a Katyusha.
Security officials estimated that terrorists have between 10 and 20 of the Russian-made rockets, supplied by Iran and smuggled into Gaza via Sinai."

Grenade attack in Pakistan's Waziristan kills 3
PESHAWAR, Pakistan, May 20 (Reuters) - Pro-Taliban militants killed two Pakistani troopers in a grenade attack on a paramilitary compound in North Waziristan, but one of their own men was also killed, a government official said on Saturday.
A military campaign to clear foreign militants from tribal lands near the Afghan border and subdue their Taliban allies is focused on North Waziristan. Fighting there has intensified over the past few months.
Fida Mohammad, a senior administration official in the region, said three militants threw grenades at the Frontier Constabulary compound in Mir Ali town, 25 km (15 miles) east of Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan.
Two members of the force and one of the attackers were killed, he said.
"Two attackers managed to escape but one died in the attack as he slipped when he started running away after throwing the grenade," Mohammad said.
Many al Qaeda militants and their Taliban allies took refuge among Pakistan's conservative Pashtun tribes on the border after being driven out of Afghanistan by U.S.-backed forces following the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States.
Following the attack on the compound, helicopter gunships circled over Mir Ali and fired rockets, residents said. It was unclear to residents who they were firing at, or if there were casualties.
Security forces have killed over 300 militants, including about 75 foreigners, in North Waziristan since the middle of last year, official say.

Coalition Forces Locate, Kill Two Al Qaeda Terrorists

WASHINGTON, May 20, 2006 – Coalition forces in Iraq, acting on intelligence reports, located and killed two al Qaeda associates on May 17, U.S. military officials in Baghdad reported today.
The al Qaeda associates were involved in targeting Iraqis, and Iraqi Security and coalition forces. Officials did not indicate where the terrorists were killed.
One terrorist, Abu Ahad, managed foreign fighter facilitation, and also provided some command and control between several terrorist cells operating throughout the vicinities of Fallujah, Baghdad, Yusifiyah, Taji and Mahmudiyah.
The name of the other al Qaeda member killed in the raid is unknown, but intelligence officials confirmed his involvement in coordinating terrorist operations, as well as his association with Ahad.
Coalition forces conducted several follow-on operations based on the same intelligence that led to Ahad.
No civilians were injured during this operation.

RUSSELL SPRINGS, Ky. (AP) - The senior class at a southern Kentucky high school gave their response Friday night to a federal judge's order banning prayer at commencement.
About 200 seniors stood during the principal's opening remarks and began reciting the Lord's Prayer, prompting a standing ovation from a standing-room only crowd at the Russell County High School gymnasium.
The thunderous applause drowned out the last part of the prayer.
The revival like atmosphere continued when senior Megan Chapman said in her opening remarks that God had guided her since childhood. Chapman was interrupted repeatedly by the cheering crowd as she urged her classmates to trust in God as they go through life.
The challenge made the graduation even better because it unified the senior class, Chapman said.
"It made the whole senior class come together as one and I think that's the best way to go out," said Chapman, who plans to attend the University of the Cumberlands with her twin sister Megan.
The graduation took place about 12 hours after a federal judge blocked the inclusion of prayer as part of Russell County High School's graduation ceremonies.
U.S. District Judge Joseph McKinley granted a temporary restraining order sought by a student who didn't want prayer to be part of the graduation exercises at the south-central Kentucky school, about 110 miles southeast of Louisville.
The American Civil Liberties Union of Kentucky filed suit on behalf of the unidentified student on Tuesday.
ACLU attorney Lili Lutgens said she was pleased with the judge's order and "very proud of my client for standing up for the Constitution." Lutgens said prayer would be unconstitutional because it would endorse a specific religion and religious views.
"He did not feel that he should have to sit through government-sponsored prayer just to receive his diploma," Lutgens said of the student.
The student, through his attorney, had previously appealed to Russell County High principal Darren Gossage to cancel the prayer, a request Lutgens said the principal denied.
Keith Ellis, an assistant principal at Russell County High School, said the school has a long tradition of prayer at graduation, something that will change with the judge's ruling.
"It will definitely change what we've done in the past," Ellis said.
Russell County School Superintendent Scott Pierce called himself a "person of faith" and said he was pleased with the response to the ruling by the senior class.
"This was a good learning process for them as far as how to handle things that come along in life," Pierce said. The response of the students showed an ability to be "critical thinkers."
"They exhibited what we've tried to accomplish in 12 years of education - they have the ability to make these compelling decisions on their own," Pierce said.
Chapman said the ceremony turned out better than it would have without the controversy.
"More glory went to God because of something like that than if I had just simply said a prayer like I was supposed to," Chapman said.
Before the graduation ceremony, some students said they weren't upset with the classmate that brought the legal challenge, just disappointed that there wouldn't be a sanctioned prayer during the ceremony.
"There's no hard feelings toward him whatsoever. That was his opinion and it was something that he felt," graduating senior Mandy Chapman said.
Gabe McNeil said during a rehearsal on Thursday, other students booed the student suspected of filing the challenge when he walked across the stage.
"They've been giving him crap," McNeil said.
A sign across the street from the high school at a garden center declared "We believe in prayer" in response to the judge's ruling.
"In our little town, we've always had that prayer at commencement," said Brenda Hadley, owner of Anna's Garden. "Why not? That's part of our everyday life."
Garden center employee Angela Dick put up the sign. Dick said student prayer has always been a way of life at commencements in the rural county that bumps up against Lake Cumberland, a popular recreation area.
"I'm disappointed in a judge who won't hold up the Christian values that our country was founded on," said Dick, who was wearing a gold cross on a chain around her neck.

Yes, this is a case, where high schoolers are head and shoulders above the courts, and ACLU. There can never be criminality in being Christian, or Christian prayer...ever!
