Tony Snow offered White House Job
Heard on the John Gibson radio program
Posted on 04/18/2006 5:48:13 PM PDT by yellowdoghunter
I just heard on the John Gibson radio program that Tony Snow has been offered McClellan's job at the White House. He has not made a decision but will discuss it on his radio program tomorrow.
I didn't see this posted. Just posting what I heard. No link.

I agree about Scott. He has been left twisting in the wind -- and that is not good. Nor is it fair to him.
Agreed. But I'm guessing that he was given orders to play nice to the enemedia (Of which you surely are NOT part of, Tony -you're one of the good guys) to keep The White House in good standing with them. IF you decide to take the job, you most likely will be given the same orders.
But, upon seeing your work, you have the finely tuned skills that would be necessary to enable you to easily nuke the baiting questions that the WH Press corps will launch at you. You are able to use logic, intelligence and research to make their assumptious interrogations blow right back into their faces, with a few well placed words.
IF you decide to take it, please remember to get some sleep. Taking on the libs on a national level in an official capacity with Presidential authority to access any and every bit of data you'd need to do your job will be quite addictive.
But of course, taking on libs is in and of itself, HIGHLY addicting.
But you already knew that!
;-)

I say take it. Not that I like folks twisting in the wind, but I hope McClellan understands our sentiments and knows its just business ans nothing against him personally... (even though I think saying his personality rivals a piece of driftwood is an opinion of his professional skills.) ;)

Tony: The WH is in some SERIOUS need of direction in terms of getting its message to the people in spite of all the static from the MSM and the Left. You would bring a much needed, heaping dose of common sense to the job. That said, you have your family and your health to worry about and those are the most precious commodities that you have. Don't do it, buddy.
To: defconw
Yep. Plus the WH press briefings and such functions would be available to all from the WH website.
We would be able to watch the videos of Tony nuking the press corps every day.
Who could ask for more?

Hey Tony, it is a difficult decision. Whatever you choose know that there are a lot of people out there that care for you and wish you the very best whether that be on the radio with your FReeper Friends or in the confines of the White House Press Room getting the message out.
We will miss ya if you go, but the FRench benefits are we get to hear ya take questions from the trolls.

Tony would be great. He has it all. Smarts, wit, charm, and he'd put Helen the Horrible in her place with a sense of humor.

Gosh, and I am subbing today. I will miss his show.
Tony worked in the Bush I WH. I heard somewhere that W was the one who fired him. I can't see Tony doing this. Huge pay cut.

Best wishes, either way!
But if you do take the WH job, may I suggest some appropriate attire for dealing with the WH press corps...

Tony: I have mixed emotions about this. Your radio show is one of the meatiest on radio. This WH gig would be temporary.
If you take it, just remember to smile a lot and don't take any crap off the drive-by media, as Rush calls them.
Smack 'em down!!!
If the WH won't let you handle them your way, don't take it.
To: tiredoflaundry
ROFL, can you see him. "I'll take the qeustion from the Moonbat in the front row."
"WAAAAAAA but I wanted the first question."
