LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police released a videotape showing a casino employee being mauled by a group of youths near an entrance to a Las Vegas Strip resort parking garage, and issued a plea for help identifying the assailants.
A surveillance video of the 2:20 a.m. Saturday attack, released Monday, shows the man leaving a golf cart and being punched, hit with a belt or chain, beaten and kicked after he falls to the ground in a driveway at the MGM Grand hotel-casino.
The victim, whose name and age were not released, suffered a broken jaw and a broken collarbone, police said.
"This is truly egregious," Las Vegas police Capt. Dave O'Leary said, who said investigators think the group was leaving a nearby movie theater, the United Artists Showcase 8, when the attack occurred. O'Leary said police did not know whether the victim was a resort security guard.

Sounds like they were parking in the lot to go to the movies. I didn't know the casinos enforced parking restrictions, especially in such a large lot. Those security guys need to be able to defend themselves. They should also have security travel in pairs. I suspect the casinos can afford it.
The only thing I can be sure of at this point is that they are not Scandinavian gang bangers.

anyhoo. I saw the video. Girls were involved and I heard it was unprovoked. Maybe an MS13 initiation? Or maybe too tame for that.
