Big brother at work. Their crime was allegedly over-serving drinks to two men who took a taxi-cab home. The taxi was hit by a drunk driver and all three in the cab were killed. I guess big brother is saying that if they hadn't been over-served they wouldn't have needed to take a cab home and wouldn't have been killed.

(The ABQ Journal is now free again though you have to watch a short advertisement before going to the article)

It's illegal to overserve patrons. And yes, it is indeed the bartenders responsibility. The State did the right thing here regardless who was at fault for the 'accident' Dave.

BASSET training drills this into everyone who serves alcoholic liquors.

I don't necessarily agree with it, but it is the law.

I will reserve comment except to say that was probably the saddest Thanksgiving Day of my life. I did all three death notifications before sunrise.
