First Knights Templar are discovered
April 10, 2006
LONDON: The first bodies of the Knights Templar, the mysterious religious order at the heart of The Da Vinci Code, have been found by archaeologists near the River Jordan in northern Israel.
British historian Tom Asbridge yesterday hailed the find as the first provable example of actual Knights Templar.
The remains were found beneath the ruined walls of Jacob's Ford, an overthrown
castle dating back to the Crusades, which had been lost for centuries.
They can be dated to the exact day -- August 29, 1179 -- that they were killed by Saladin, the feared Muslim leader who captured the fortress.
"Never before has it been possible to trace their remains to such an exact time in history,' Mr Asbridge said. "This discovery is the equivalent of the Holy Grail to archaeologists and historians. It is unparalleled."

There is a Templar built church in Scotland. How could there be any doubt as to the authenticity of the Templars?

occasional "lover of the music", like yourself, who can ignore the fact that the money spent buying that music is used to help destroy the defenders of their own political views. Wasn't that the basis for A Peaceable Kingdom? Another great fiction.

The Seal of the Knights the two riders have been interpreted as a sign of poverty or the duality of monk/soldier.

There's a great book by Piers Paul Read called The Templars about (oddly enough) the Knights Templar. A worthy read from Mr. Read for anyone interested in them as more than a legend, or a scapegoat for the loss of the crusades.

I once took a gal out on a date and when I picker her up I noticed a new business card on her table. It had her name on it and said she was something to do with the "Celestine Prophecy" (remember that top selling book several years ago?} I asked her about it and she said she was going to be a counselor on that book. I pointed out that the book was pure fiction and she didn't believe me. I picked up the book and opened the first page and in big print it said "Fiction". I never dated her again so don't know what happened to her new business of counseling. LOL On top of that I went to the book store where she bought it and right about the books was a sign saying "fiction section". Yes, she was a blond.

It would be nice if the Vatican reclaimed their Templar history even if just to set the record straight. The Swiss Guard is probably enough of a military presence for the Vatican. I'd just like to hear what is of the Church and what has been hijacked for selfish and wicked purposes.

Hey, maybe the Crusades is where Haliburton got its start! No, the author has a very shocking (FICTIONAL) reason the Templars were so successful. They guarded a VERY BIG SECRET. So big and shocking, it would rock the Christian world.

No,it takes less...The reason people want to believe the davinci code is that its the easy way out...Jesus said,'Take up your cross and follow me'.....People would rather have it easy, then at then final judgement say,'Oh,but my intentions were good'!!!!!!

I'm amazed at the amount of people who rather believe the DaVinci Code rather than the Bible. Will the DaVinci Code still be a bestseller a thousand years from now?Who cares?
Remember the millions of morons who thought that The Day After Tomorrow was a documentary based on science and started quoting from it?
