The good old days, when gas was 28 cents, ice cold Coke was in a bottle for 10 cents and baseball cards were a nickel - and you got bubble gum too :)I used to get 5 cent Cokes at the boat marina- a nickel unlocked the gate, and you could take as many as you wanted- but we were raised better than to try.

actually that gas at 28 cents per gallon along with cars getting 10 mpg at best, you were spending a much larger share of your income on gas than you do today.
