HOLLYWOOD Nineteen Cuban migrants were taken into custody Monday morning shortly after a speedboat dropped them off on a beach just north of Sheridan Street, news partner NBC 6 reported.
The migrants were dropped off by a go-fast boat on the 3500 block of Ocean Boulevard around 6 a.m. The group included 12 men, four women and three children. All were reported in good condition.
The Border Patrol was questioning the group about who brought them to the United States and why. Most or all are expected to be granted permission to stay under the government's wet foot, dry foot policy for Cubans.

Sometimes I wonder if a piece of space junk will fall from the sky and flatten Dodger Stadium, but not a lot.
True. But that never stops a good socialist from their usual lies.

Is that what we will be saying about Mexicans in a year? (after the pro-Castro/Chavez leftist is elected in Mexico and things go from bad to worse in their country and they start threatening to shut off our oil supply?)
I bet Cubans can even read Spanish...unlike the illegals flooding California
In fact, If it weren't for the Elian Gonzalez mess that electrified the Cuban community, Gore would have taken Florida, and the Presidency, in 2000.
"a go-fast boat"
?? Ummm... AKA Speed boat?
You know it's kind of scary that someone can be dropped off in a boat and say they are from Cuba and just be welcomed into the US. I hope Castro never gets the idea to send terrorist squads over here because we would just welcome them with open arms.
I'll give you a tid bit of news that has been below the MSM's radar.
It looks like large Mexican corporations are already investing heavily outside of Mexico ahead of the elections. They are moving assets to the United States by buying into American companies. So far in this U.S. territory they (America Movil) have bought Verizon out of the local telco. They (Cemex) bought the largest cement manufacturer. They bought a TV channel. And last week it was announced they also bought the largest local publishing company.
Apparently the fee was worth the two year's salary after all.
I married one, and she is even more conservative than I am.
This is another joke that must stop. These people have to stop coming here and do what they can to overthrow Castro. There should be NO exceptions to our immigration policies.Just because these people scream political asylum they are automaticaly taken in. Are we nuts or what.
At this rate the whole population of Cuba can swim here and claim asylum and we'll just let them right in.
Let them fight for their country instead of giving them a free pass.
Fidel's and Chavez's bio sleeper incubators
If I was a business owner in Mexico and saw the inevitable coming this summer I'd probably do the same. This new government will undoubtedly take a page from Chavez's book and nationalize everything and ramp up the oil production to feed their pockets; this is not going to be pretty and right on our borders.... which, if we don't close them and soon, means more than ever will try to get in here instead of stay and fight the scourge the peasants will elect onto the country.
I had a guy do some work on my house here who escaped from Cuba during the Marielle Boatlift (I probably spelled that wrong). He was a political prisoner, and had quite an interesting story. He's also a heckof an electrician and plumber.

Irregardless, glad they made it.
I sent unequivocal information regarding an illegal alien, who was already married in his home country and had made a false declaration that he was unmarried, so that he could marry someone here. I included his contact information and the contact information of his employer. NO ACTION.
