As we all know 2006, will be a critical year. We may lose the majority. Every Senate seat is precious. We can't let the RATS control the Senate.
In light of that, Bill Nelson is very vulnerable. But it is clear that as much as I love Katherine Harris, she cannot win.
We need to draft General Franks, who will win. Who better to have than the General in the Senate to defend the war from idiots like Joe Biden?
I know it seems unpractical, but there has not been a serious effort made. Maybe now is the time to start.
Gloria Estefan for Senate.
I'd rather see him get a more prominent position in government.
5 4 3 2...
Well you won't last long.
Agreed. If he would be willing, it would be an excellent move by the GOP -
What did he say? What did he say?
1..
Tommy Franks is from Florida? News to me.
He said there were too many JOOOOOOs in politics anyway.
In short.
Wrong answer.
You clowns NEED to STFU and support Harris. She has just raised over a million dollars from the grassroots in the first quarter. Stop trying to pull the rug out from under her and support her!!
Franks would probably make a great President, but I think Senate is below his pay grade...
obviously, he would be a tremendous upgrade over Nelson, (and Harris for that matter)
He's got way too much class to be in the Senate. Why do THAT to a great man. lol
not until we find out where he stand on social issues.
We could tell you, but then we would have to zot you too ;-)
I sent him an email to this effect a few weeks ago. I got a reply from a staffer, but it did not contain any encouragement that Franks would run for senate.
You know, when Dennis Prager was going to run for Senate, he said it was too insignificant to bother. But look at what the Senate is doing now, without a good leader, without anyone with guts there. They are run amok. Tommy Franks in there, bellowing, might be just a wonderful thing. And I hear Katherine Harris is not a strong candidate? I would love to see Tommy Franks, Oliver North, Zell Miller, Newt -- the feisty ones -- with a strong presence in government.
Tommy is one of those? News to me.
