How is Your Voting Strategy Working Out?
Constitution Pary ^ | 11-02-2005 | John Leone - Candidate for New Jersey State Assembly

Posted on 04/16/2006 1:52:39 PM PDT by rodeocowboy

Question for conservatives who vote for Republican candidates every few years because the Republicans are the "lesser of two evils." P>

How is your voting strategy working out?

Since "conservative" Republicans have taken over the House of Representatives 11 years ago, the expansion of government has continued at every level. Nothing has been done to stop the holocaust of abortion. Gay marriage under the guise of "civil unions" is becoming a norm in our society. Our government continues in its Wilsonian tradition of globe-trotting and nation-building with the precious blood of American soldiers fertilizing the subjected nations, making them "safe for democracy."

Nothing has been done to deter the invasion of over 10 million illegal immigrants across our southern border. Taxation as a percentage of income is at record levels. Federal and state government debts are at record levels. The middle class of the American citizenry have the boot of the government planted squarely on their necks and continue to shoulder much of the monetary burden that keeps our corrupt governments breathing.

Conservative voters, I ask you again...How is your voting strategy working out? Have the "lesser" of evils advanced your agenda? (I really don't believe that this "evil" is lesser at all...but is merely a different flavor of evil. Much like choosing between strawberry or chocolate ice cream...the underlying substance is the same with the only difference being the flavor.)

I'm not asking if they have promised to advance your agenda (because I know their rhetoric).

I'm asking, "What has the Republican Party done for you and your cause?"

Words without actions are MEANINGLESS.

To use a quote from one of my all-time favorite superheroes in one of my all-time favorite movies (Batman Begins), "It's not what you are underneath that matters, but what you do that defines you."

In politics, it's not what you SAY that matters...but what you will DO once elected to office...

Until there is a paradigm shift in the thinking of conservatives, our nation will continue slouching toward certain destruction...Until there is a revolution in the minds and thought processes of dyed-in-the-wool conservatives who regularly vote Republican, there will be no legitimate change in our nation's course...Until the conservatives arise from their mental dormancy and slumber, our nation will continue to creep toward certain judgment.

Conservative brothers and sisters...OPEN YOUR EYES!

Great! Then we can end up with more Democrats in Congress and, in 2008, we can end up with Hillary Clinton in the White House.

The Republicans know what they need to do if they want to prevent that from happening.

Who do you think "the Republicans" are?

The political whores in Congress who would sell their own grandmothers for a $20,000 campaign contribution?

In or out of majority political power, politicians will do just fine but America's vital interests will suffer when the Democrats are totally free to pander to their base. Having the Democrats in power will hurt us much more than it will hurt the politicians.

In America, no political party platform is engraved in stone.

If you want to influence the direction America is headed, what you need to do is put candidates who think like you do on the ticket of one of the two major parties and mobilize the true believers to tip the balance as 80% of the Sheeple will vote Republican or Democrat simply because they have always done so.

"The party left me, I didn't leave the party". Forgot who said that (was it RR on the Democrats?), but it applies in spades with the Bush Administration.

What's a voter to do? Follow the party over the cliff (as many democrats are poised to do, given their anti-America, love of all things socialist stance). And the RP fills the vacuum created by the left.

There is a guy named George that I'd rather put more stock in: George Washington. Imagine what he'd have done after 911, given our weapons arsenal. 912 Smackdown. No troops on the ground, no forward bases--just smoking camel as far as the eye could see. You'd be looking at fifty to a hundred years of peace.

The real George W would have shut the border down about 10 million illegals ago, too.

"You are the one saying you can trust a rat but not a Republican."

That's right fool. I don't believe an effing word from a Republican because they parade around as conservatives would vote for them. The exception is Tom Tancredo. You still do not understand my point and I'm not telling you. You can believe whatever the hell you want.

So far so good. I don't vote for Democrats, I don't vote for RINO's, I don't vote for the lesser of two evils and I don't vote for compassionate socialists.

I got your point. You said as much in your first sentance. You are a rat loving conservative. I just want to make sure any other readers understand your point. Thanx for playing.

Well, there is the Republican party with some conservative members and some not so conservative and then there's the evil Marxist liberal socialist Democrat Party. I'd rather have a conservative Republican in office, but I'll take a not so conservative Republican over any evil Marxist liberal socialist Democrat any day of the week.

And I might express my unhappiness with some of his policies but I think I've learned my lesson about irreversibly trashing the Republican office holder or the Republican base or the party itself (at least not too much trashing). As they say, the alternative is unthinkable.

They had no troubles understanding me, otherwise they would have pinged me. They haven't. Only you. Go check for yourself.

Not even close.

But it looks like it belongs to the 2004 Bush campaign.

I expect many conservatives are dumbfounded by your admiration of the honestly evil rats.

That is a quote from another Freeper named Common Tator. I didn't presume to correct his spelling. If you could defend your logic you would defend it. You have been reduced to swearing and name calling. I do not envy you, when your liquid courage sweats out, and you are left with the hot flash of embarrassment on your cheeks tomorrow morning. May you have sweet dreams of the rats you support jwh_Denver. Thanx for playing.

It will be very interesting to see whether or not a Democratic majority will vote the "Constitutional amendment" to prevent a super-majority being necessary to break a Republican fillibuster. Somehow I think they will have no problem. I guess we'll wait and see.

Yep, I'm convinced.

The Constitution Party will lead to a new and improved profile page. I can feel the love now.

I will not be sitting it out I will be supporting the Constitution party. Trying to build it into a force in American politics. A journey of 1000 miles begins with one step.

Sounds noble but then so did Pickett's Charge. I wish you luck in finding and working for candidates who more closely resemble your remarks. It's an uphill climb for sure but that doesn't make it impossible. Perhaps you will find more success on the state level first? Or maybe just one member of Congress?

It beats voting for a good number of respendicans these days. To quote my father, "With the way things are going it does not matter if a republican or a democrat wins, conservatives will lose."
