Astute Dosers will notice the deep dishonesty of the woman organizing the gay takeover of this year's Easter Egg Roll. She says what they're doing is not a protest nor an attempt to politicize the event, but it IS a protest and they are politicizing it.
Like all White House holiday events, the Easter Egg Roll has ALWAYS been non-political. The Easter Egg Roll, in particular, has been for very young children. In order to get in, you have to bring at least one toddler. An event for the most innocent among us -- that's what the radical Left (in this case, the gay and lesbian wing) are injecting themselves into Easter.
One antitdote to this ugly nonsense is for people to read and know history. For those who are interested in the history of this event, I've provided the following link. History of the White House Easter Egg Roll

HAPPY EASTER, to all Dosers who celebrate this holiday. For those who don't, happy Sunday. :)
All humanity is of one Author, and is one volume; when one dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated; God employs several translators; some pieces are translated by age, some by sickness, some by war, some by justice; but Gods hand is in every translation, and his hand shall bind up all our scattered leaves again for that library where every book shall lie open to one another.

PHOTOS OF THE DAY: This photo was taken today as the President arrived at the Naval Observatory outside Washington with his family.
"Ah, Helen, caught ya studying Marx again.".
This photo was snapped on Thursday as the President left the White House for Camp David. Snugs posted it on the Dose that day, but it needs a caption:
Whew! Helen must have been by here awhile ago.

The first family arriving at the Naval Observatory in Washington today on their return from Camp David. I found no mention of why they landed at the Naval Observatory instead of the White House, but perhaps they stopped to visit the Vice President and his family. The official vice presidential residence is on the Naval Observatory grounds.

Barbara assists her grandmother, Jenna Welch, while her paternal grandparents and her dad walk across the grounds of the Naval Observatory. The President mugs for the media.

A copy of the first page President Bush's and first lady Laura Bush's 2005 tax returns released by the White House is shown in Washington Friday, April 14, 2006. It shows a total income of $738,880. Vice President Dick Cheney and his wife Lynne earned $8.82 million last year the White House said. Lynne Cheney is a successful author of childrens books, and the Vice President's income derives from his current salary, investments (held in a blind trust), and pensions, etc., derived from his days as a congressman, Secretary of Defense, and Haliburton CEO.

Andy Card, President Bush's former Chief of Staff, accompanied by his wife Rev. Kathleene Card, leaves the West Wing of the White House on his last day of work, Friday, April 14, 2006. Goodby Andy. You did a GREAT job and we're grateful. We wish you all the best in the future.

Just when you think the media can't possibly get any lower, we have this little stunt from Yahoo News Photos. Yahoo dug out a 2003 file photo of a one-year-old enjoying his first Easter Egg Roll on the White House lawn and used it as an excuse to publish what has to be the most disgusting caption ever:
One year-old Chase Verdery Jr. participates in the White House Easter Egg Roll, 2003. Dozens of gay couples and their children are planning to make their presence felt at the annual White House Easter egg party -- no matter what the conservative occupants think.
The above caption is shown here verbatim. I merely copied and pasted it.

Enough of the Left and its media shills! Let's enjoy the day. Here's a collection of White House Easter eggs for you to enjoy:
This Easter Egg was created for the first Easter after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. It depicts the damage to the Pentagon and the huge American flag draped over the outside wall near the place where the plane hit.

Many of the eggs wind up in private collections and museums in the home states of the artists. The blue one on the left in this photo is from 1988 and is signed by then President George H.W. Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush.

I remember they landed there a few months ago again no explanation but I notice that Bar and Poppy are with them so maybe they visited the Cheney's seeing as the VP was his Defense Secretary.

Some White House Easter Eggs created by artists from every state in the Union.
As an example of one year's collection, you can see every state's eggs from 2003 by clicking here. The ones shown below are from several different years.
