A lone dissenter disrupted an immigration reform rally that drew more than 300 people to the University of Oregon campus at noon on Thursday.
UO history student Timothy Lowrey stood on a low pillar outside the Erb Memorial Union yelling "Get in line!" and "It's illegal because it's a crime," as students who had marched along 13th Avenue poured into the amphitheater. Many carried signs with slogans such as: "No human being is illegal" and "All workers contribute to this society."
While student organizers tried to describe their opposition to a get-tough House of Representatives bill passed in December, Lowrey yelled his opposition so fervently even the students with microphones were hard to hear.
Finally, the crowd drowned him out chanting, "El pueblo unido jamas sera vencido," a Spanish phrase that means, "A united community cannot be defeated."

El pueblo unido jamas sera vencido
I wonder how long it took the little lemmings to memorize that?
Good for that kid, way to stand up to those criminals
I challenge those students to go to nearby Springfield, Cottage Grove, Junction City or Harrisburg and hold that same rally.
Those are largely working class and/or farming communities within 20 miles of UO. They would find a different reception, I think.
There are many Hispanics in Oregon farming communities, but a large proportion of them are legal, and are fighting for their jobs with the illegals.
My sister-in-law worked this past season in the largest cannery in Salem, 50 miles North of Eugene. She said that even the Hispanics in that cannery hate the illegals.
Several years ago, Lars Larson discussed this subject on his Portland program.
A migrant farm worker called in voicing resentment. He was here legally and supporting a family. He was having difficulty finding a field job because the illegals were undercutting him.
Most LEGAL Hispanics in Oregon do hate the Illegals, and many have been here longer than I have been alive(49). I would get a kick out of them trying that in Springfield though.
Do they suggest we let the entire world in, no questions asked, welfare from cradle to grave? Who'd pay for it? They're out of their tiny little minds.
"El pueblo unido jamas sera vencido," a Spanish phrase that means, "A united community cannot be defeated."
No. Only those of Hispanic origin.
"But Sifuentez, a citizen whose parents came from Mexico, said that no wall will keep out people crossing the border who can't feed their families.
"If I'm hungry, and you build a wall, I'm going to keep coming," he said."
Maybe this guy should re-direct his voice and thinking toward his own country and why his family is starving. It's not us who are causing his family to starve.
Si; es verdad! Y nuestro comunidad es muy largo que su pueblo...
...and a BIG united community ALWAYS wins over a small united community.
Not long at all - it was in their native language. And the real point is, they didn't know the English for it!!!

Thats better
Bull sheet. That's a take off on the commie chant of "A people...united...can not be defeated."
It's the only the title of the hit single from Brian Becker's last album, "It's Hard Being A Hookie Commie Out Here On the West Coast".
He's just another Comissar kepting Stalin-like yo...
Notice how they keep saying "No human being is illegal"
Well it is not "Illegal Human", it is "Illegal Immigrant" referring to the fact that their immigration was illegal. They have a right to exist, just in their own country.
Look at em all marching around. I thought they came here to work! Their working conditions must not be too bad if they can get a random day off to goof around.
These demonstrations always crack me up. What would college students know about work?
