Guess the Green Team's reach-out program to conservatives, especially SE Wisconsin conservatives, is having a backlash among the idiots that run the "R"PW.
Please dont run unless you will be a head banging take no prisoners, throw them back over the border, firing one out of every 3 public employee, cut EVERY government program, sane kind of conservative. We have enough Rinos. Thanks in advance.
It would be nothing less than spectacular if Tommy Thompson were to run against Herb Kohl!
It's difficult for me to think about voting for someone with a kid's name. "Tommy"...really now, someone with that name just doesn't seem serious. Almost like "Jimmy".
IMHO, if Tommy announces anything it will be to run against "Nobody's Senator" Herb Kohl. Kohl has been awoken from his normal state of stupor and has actually been CAMPAIGNING, already. I know! It's been an amazing thing to watch. Well, actually, his STAFFERS have been campaigning. Herb's still snoozing in a corner somewhere. *Smirk*
Tommy's not coming back down to a state level. After hob-knobbing in DC? Puh-leeze. He was a cr@ppy HHSD, but the MSM didn't crucify him, so your average schmuck will only know the good and not the bad that is Tommy.
He's just doing this to yank Governor Doyle's (D, WI) chain who he hates with the white-hot intensity of a thousand suns. :)
Brett Farve is yanking our chain these days, too. Seems to be a Wisconsin-Thang. *Rolleyes*
"Tommy; The Opera." Ping.
I don't care if he's a RINO as long as he's not at the Lincoln Chafee level. A pickup in this state for the Rs would be devastating to the national Democrat party.
He is the only man who could beat Kohl and he is needed in the US Senate. This could be a blockbuster.
I sure as hell hope that Tommy does NOT run for Governor again and sabotages Mark Green's campaign (pulling a Van Hilleary). He IS however cordially invited to take out that old rich twit Kohl. It's outrageous that there has only been "1" Republican Senator in WI since after Joe McCarthy's death in 1957.
How likely do you find the idea that we might lose control of the House and gain near close to 60 votes in the Senate?
Whatever happens, I see gains in the Senate, and moderate losses in the House.
