Did you see the information I posted earlier concerning the newly formed organization VETS FOR FREEDOM?!
http://www.vetsforfreedom.org/

These vets/WOT supporters are 'banding' together to combat the MSM's relentless negativity toward our War on Terror (particularly our mission in Iraq) . . . TRUTH TO DEMAGOGUERY! [I plan to make a donation ASAP!]

I caught about 20 minutes of Hannity's radio show today, and he had the guy from that website on briefly. I joined their group (will contribute $$ too) so their numbers can grow. From what I've seen it's a great website and wonderful idea.

With a PERSONAL APPROVAL rating over 60% (despite a polling sample that over-represented Democrats by double digits), the President doesn't need to hide!

Regardless, the President's a wise man to ignore bogus opinion polls!

Not to make too fine a point of it, but from what I can tell, the pollsters are doing 'their work.' Unfortunately, it seems their work is destroying this fine country and what it stands for.

Guess I'd best not extend this line of thinking -- it is not in the good spirit of The Daily Dose.

I think the sign up for the Medicare RX plan expires in May. Even so, I appreciate our President talking about it. It IS confusing, and it is difficult to get proper information -- not because of our Government but because all of the private plans provide conflicting info.

On the handsome photographs which lead me, to the gentle art of digressing, from the actual subject at hand. Herewith digression.

One of the most decisive battles of the world, that established Western Civilization, was the Battle of the Marathon 490 BC. Greece was threatened by the forces of King Darius, the Persian King. It was said that the arrows of his armies could "darken the sun". Sir Edward Creasy quoth: "not merely the fate of two armies, but the whole future progress of human civilization".

A small force of Athenians gathered to repel his invasion. The hard men of Sparta declined- because of religious reasons. A small force of Plataeans marched to support them.

The rest is history. Darius fled for his life. Today, President George W. Bush, might well be THE leader, that understands the nature of what faces us today.

If this man loses,it could fulfill what was said in 1914. "The lights are going out and we may not see them lit again in our lifetime".

Iran is the new name for Persia.

Has anybody noticed that finally, AND I REPEAT FINALLY, his press secretary and cabinet, and he-himself is finally getting ruthless and rude to the press? That's the Bush I can finally stand behind!

George W. Bush is unafraid to face any hot button topic - health care, social security, immigration, defense of the country. He will always look it in the eye, talk about it and engage debate. He has great personal courage, I think. And a decided lack of fear of the "polls" or his enemies - within and without our borders!

Good for you. I just went to VetsforFreedom and donated after hearing their leader on 2 radio shows today. What a wonderful organization and we certainly need it. He's a soft spoken tough guy and I loved the stories and his faith in our soldiers.

yes it is a good framing effect. Pix I take that I like are shrubs, tree limbs etc framing the subject in the distance.

Oh to have REAL still camera equipment. I see shots every day that would be so great to capture. I like artsy close ups and great framing composition ideas. Hubby is the video guy, I like stills.
