Now that would be scary.
Well,I don't think I panic as easily,although I panicked with my daughter when she was about 3 and had a tick on her head that I tried to remove and the darn head stayed put.
That was about the only time I freaked and called the DR.office.They gave me an appointment and treated the area with disinfectant and explained that I had nothing to worry about,because the area didn't have a thread of Lyme disease.
It happened in Germany and I felt like a bad Mom,because I didn't find the tick before it could attach itself and that thing was huge by the time I found it.YUCK!
