How about arresting the demonstrators who are illegal for starters?

It's obvious it's a losing battle trying to protect the border and the only one's who can protect America and Americans appear to be more concerned with votes.

From my vantage point on the northern border, the opposite is true. Our officer staffing has exploded and new technology is coming on line all the time.

I wonder where they got their information?

The growth has slowed... in Democratic talk that's a cut! And make no mistake, that's exactly what this article is - just raw meat for angry Conservatives served up by the liberal main stream media. Enjoy.

Here is some very good information regarding the change in illegal immigration from 92 until now.

Most importantly, look at the graph on pg 2.

The liberal media makes everything up as they go along. Anything to hurt Bush when their arguments are not true or absurb.

If a democrat was president right now, they would be praising how secure our borders are.

In Clinton's last 4 years as President, he grew the BP by 42%. In Bush's first 4 years, the growth is only 15%, most of which went to the northern border.

Let's see now. Who can we blame?

Who's in power now?

Republicans you say?

Is the whole damned party filled with "moderates" (who stand for nothing)who are only in politics for free haircuts and medical care and retirement benefits that should make someone blush with shame.

By 2004, the annual inflow of foreign-born persons was down 24% from its all-time high in 2000, according to the Pew Hispanic Center analysis of multiple datasets collected by the Census Bureau and other government agencies

So.... no need to worry?

To clarify: Are you saying there are fewer people crossing the borders illegally (in and around your location)?

From 2001 to 2006, illegal immigration has grown steadily.

While we are still below the 2000 level, we are rapidly approaching it again.

Hmmm. Based on this headline, someone is lying. Either the "journalist", or the President.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2005/11/20051128-7.html

Quotes from the above President's speech in 2005:

"Since 2001, we've hired 1,900 new Border Patrol agents. I just signed a bill last month that will enable us to add another thousand Border Patrol agents. When we complete these hires, we will have enlarged the Border Patrol by about 3,000 agents from 9,500 the year I took office to 12,500 next year. This is an increase of more than 30 percent.."

"Since I've taken office we've increased funding for border security by 60 percent. Our border agents have used that funding to apprehend and send home more than 4.5 million people coming into our country illegally, including more than 350,000 with criminal records.."

"Our actions to integrate manpower, technology and infrastructure are getting results. And one of the best examples of success is the Arizona Border Control Initiative, which the government launched in 2004. In the first year of this initiative -- now, listen to this, listen how hard these people are working here -- agents in Arizona apprehended nearly 500,000 illegal immigrants, a 42-percent increase over the previous year..."

Don't let this info get into the hands of the Bush Is A Traitor! FReepers, their heads will explode trying to explain how Bush is worse than Clinton, and how we need to put the Dems in power in November to "teach them a lesson".

No, just the majority of them.

There is a confluence forming among the far Left, the Jihadists, and the illegal alien lobby- click the pictures for direct transport to relevant links and commentary, and look around:

I have been psuedo-blogging, for years, a couple of the elements in WWIV ( III being the Cold War ), in which we find ourselves engaged.

The first element?

Islam, a Religion of Peace®? ( links, blogs, quips, quotes, aggravating pictures ) is located here- click the Pic, and scroll backwards:

The other, somewhat interlocking element is this one:

"Thunder on the Border," click the picture:

What is happening under the radar is that the alien lobby, certain elements of radical Islam, and some on the Left share common goals, tactics, and exploitations of our system and society.

Not a conspiracy, but rather a "coming together on common points."
