The demonstrations are the best advertisements possible for the idea that America must get tough on illegal immigrants and tighten its immigration policies.

You got that right, JP.

I hope they keep it up. Liberals are profoundly stupid but then again its not always like you can count on them to act in their own best interests. And what the Democratic Party is doing by taking the side of illegal aliens is telling the American people to go take a hike on the question of securing the borders. They're showing that concern for our national security is not in their political DNA. Its like the 60s all over again with their party.

To the contrary, I think. The pictures of hundreds of thousands of illegals marching to demand citizenship with no counter-demonstrations to ship them home and seal the borders simply shows that the illegals have already won. And a country with no borders cannot survive.

It is time to report illegals. All of them. Call your local branch of the INS and repost all those Mexicans in the local resturaunts from Maine to Florida.

I was VERY ambivalent about these hard-working Mexicans, BUT after these marches and the "You OWE me" rhetoric, I am hardening.

What irritates me is that there are millions, if not billions, of people living in such repressed areas as Bangladesh, Ghana, Somalia, and Washington, DC that share the same dreams of bettering themselves and sharing in the American Dream.

Why are we not opening our borders to these forgotten millions?

Maybe Mexico will take them in. After all, who is doing the work down there that the remaining affluent locals won't do?

These illegals don't want to assimilate, they just want to take advantage of our economy. That's the message you get when they go around acting like they want to colonize the U.S. for Mexico (which they are in the process of doing). And what's worse, our unprotected borders are open to criminals and terrorists! We need a fence and border reinforcements now.
