Thanks for the encouraging words. However, its hard to feel encouraged when forced to choose between the 'Rats we know and "Republicans" we don't know. I voted for Bush TWICE. I have been a loyal and faithful Republican voter for 20 years. But now I don't know the party any more. That concerns me more than risking one or two elections.
"Rats" or "Republicans",,,
The one thing that the Republican party has apparently forgotten is that conservatives don't vote Republican, we vote conservative. Which means, that while we may never vote for a Democrat in the general election, we have no problem replacing a "Republican" with a conservative in the primaries.
Bill Clinton was in for 8 long years thanks to the Ross Perot voters.
Bush is, at best, a moderate Republican. He's not running any more. The fight now is with the "native criminal class" (to borrow a phrase from Mark Twain) in Congress. We have an opportunity this November to set things straight.
I just picture good ol' Charlie Brown, having a yet another kick at that football.
Not only that, but the Republican Party is never more conservative than when they have Minority status. Being in the Majority, and their overwhelming desire to cling to Majority status, has changed them for the worse.
The longer they're the Majority in Congress, the less conservative they are.
It's NOT the Party, the Party is what it has always been...
It's the rise of Marxists in the Media you should worry about.
The constant din of lies from the left keeps getting disproven, but the Media salicates over the NEXT one, then hardly says OOPS when it's disproven, and moves on....
Y'all are giving Bush hell over the immigration stance, but it's this very disaster he's been trying to hold off by keeping this a Non-issue!!!
If we come down HARD, Dems get 10 million new voters...
If we come down soft, the base gets mad, and Dems get 10 million new voters...
If we do nothing, the base stays home in November, and DEMS still win....
No matter how you lok at it, this is NOT the issue we want to die over......
I'll second that!
Thank you. Because of yours and other votes for the POTUS, just look at the positive changes on our Supreme Court. Imagine who would have replaced O'Connor and Rhenquist had Bush not won. (Shudder)
The trouble is that it wouldn't be "one or two elections." Once the RATs get back in power, there will be no more Pubbies in power for generations, just like before when we had 40 years of socialism forced down our collective throats.
That's what folks said before Carter and Clinton were elected, too. No thanks!
