OK, but it's possible that those Mexicans also had good parents who taught them to be good people. MOST of the illegals are good people. Those among them who want to be criminals usually aren't working at laying bricks.

Absolutely. There was the story where 70 laborers were sent to a Katrina damaged area of Alabama then were let go when the "Mexicans" got there.

I heard a really mad black lady on Hugh Hewett (I think) going off about the illegals coming in and taking jobs.

A drunk ILLEGAL Mexican, without a driving license( or insurance) speed through a stop sign over the weekend here in Florida and killed another ILLEGAL in the car with him and and killed teenaged AMERICAN girl and critically injured another girl in the car.

By the way, he also fled the scene of the accident on foot.

I was at the Mayor Clinic hospital called St. Lukes in Jacksonville, sitting in the emergency wating room( my friend had had a heart attack) a couple of years ago. Just a quite place, not crowded at all.

A group of six "immigrants" came in, walking and looking around... they told the desk clerk in accented English that they had colds and flu.

They were sent over to the public hospital called University at the time.

The Republicans could only make a dent in the black vote if they all came out hard against illegal immigration. Working class black people dislike Mexicans worse than the most inbred Klansman does. Of course, this would probably hurt Republicans among Hispanics, so it might be a wash.

My husband was hit twice by illegals with no insurance in TX. Cops do nothing as they know they won't even bother to show up in court.

My (hispanic looking)son had no problems finding a job in Appalachia, where unemployment was 10-15%...and those areas were white...so it's not a race thing...

Blacks hate latinos, Cubans can't stand Mexicans, They all hate Hatians, Puerto Ricans hate Cubans, Cubans hate Puerto Ricnas, Blacks hate Mexicans...

I was married to a cuban woman. She filled me in. I also observed it living in South Florida, working for a comapany that employed many, many minorites.

Folks who thing that Hispanics are one voice need to get a clue, especially Mel.

At least the more recent illegals don't make out bad financially. They have learned how to up that low hourly wage to a pretty high hourly wage by charging a little extra for this and a little extra for that, using the poor me approach so successfully that the employer usually doesn't even realize how much he is paying this person.
Maybe others have used this ploy to progress, but there is one issue here that aggravates me. The 'poor Mexicans' are absolved of criminality because their own country doesn't want to be responsible for them, and they seem to have been coached that it is their right to encroach on the prosperity of the United States. There is never a word of pathos given to the people of other poor countries who may want just as much to advance their station in life as Mexicans, but who do not have the advantage of an easy border to cross and people willing to look the other way at their criminality. Those people are being cheated by the Mexicans and our very own government. That is not equality.
