They're baaack. Illegal alien public relations experts are advising their followers to put aside the Mexican flags and tone down their radicalism, but many reconquistadors and their friends can't help themselves. Hat tip to John A. for the protest photos today from Dallas:
Black Panthers came out to show solidarity with the open borders lobby...
And the Che cultists were out in full force again, too...
There's no photo, but the Dallas Morning News described this:
Although the stars and stripes predominated, some people opted to paint themselves in red, white and green, the colors of the Mexican flag. A girl no older than 6 had her shirt painted: Hell, no, we wont go. Mexicans stick together.
And via Yahoo!:
Similar sentiments at the anti-immigration enforcement rally in St. Paul, Minn.:
The Dallas Morning News also reported that counter-protesters were assaulted and forced to leave under police protection:
Police told counterprotesters that they could protect them only to a point, and offered to escort them out through an underground parking lot. Six people left with police who were carrying shields and wearing helmets and shin pads.
Theyre obviously outnumbered here. If they choose to leave, we can arrange that, said Dallas police Lt. William Humphrey.
Miles Walters, 16, a sophomore at Richardson High School, said he was scared when people started throwing water bottles and hunkered under a building for protection. I wasnt expecting it to be this bad, he said. Because we take pride in our country they hate us and call us racist.
More:
A small group of counterprotesters shouted from a parking lot at Ross Avenue and Harwood Street: USA, USA, Youre gonna go home, youre gonna go home.
Said Elijah McGrew, 48: They are breaking the law and no one should get amnesty. If I break the law, I dont get amnesty.
Also in the group was Ben Blewusi, who said he came to the U.S. legally from Ghana in 2004.
Illegal immigration is a crime in every country. I believe they are a drain on the economy and dont pay taxes, and employers take advantage of them and enslave their labor. And as a result it drives down wages for legal migrants and U.S. citizens, Mr. Blewusi said.
Near City Hall, more than 100 chanting protesters broke off from the main march and headed toward another group of counterprotesters. Police moved in around the counterprotesters, some of whom had hurled plastic water bottles at the large procession.
If you are holding a counter-protest, send your photos and I'll post them.
Tony J. attended a pro-immigration enforcement rally along with a few hundred in Denver on Friday:
I'll be covering the illegal alien demonstration tomorrow in Washington, D.C. Power Line is soliciting video from citizen journalists across the country.
Meanwhile, keep an eye on what government school officials are doing in your neighborhood.
In Tuscon:
The superintendent of the Tucson Unified School District is under fire for sending school buses to pick up student following an immigration reform protest.
But Superintendent Roger Pfeuffer defended his decision, saying police asked for the buses because a crowd of students in front of the Federal Building in Tucson was growing, water supplies were low and the temperatures were rising.
Rep. Jonathan Paton, R-Tucson, criticized Pfeuffer in a letter, asking for an explanation of the busing issue.
Paton also wanted to know about a student assembly at Tucson High Magnet School in which Dolores Huerta, co-founder of the United Farm Workers, said, "Republicans hate Latinos."
Paton said he wanted to find out if the assembly was mandatory, and he criticized district officials for allowing "political propaganda."
Pfeuffer said the assembly was not connected with recent walkouts by students protesting for immigration reform and said Huerta's appearance was part of a series of events commemorating Cesar Chavez Day held each year.
Yesterday, I noted my home county's decision to give school credit to students who attend the April 10 illegal alien event in D.C. Here's contact info for the Montgomery County Board of Education:

Also watch your city officials. Some people are acting as if sanctuary extremists like the politicians in San Francisco are something new:
Mayor Gavin Newsom said Thursday that The City will not comply with any federal legislation that criminalizes efforts to help illegal immigrants.
The mayor also denounced a bipartisan congressional proposal that would beef up border security and allow as many as 12 million illegal immigrants to gain legal status.
Newsom, who has not been afraid to wade into controversial national issues such as gay marriage, appeared with a group of elected officials on the steps of City Hall to support immigrants, documented as well as undocumented.Newsom also signed a resolution sponsored by Supervisor Gerardo Sandoval, and passed unanimously by the Board of Supervisors, urging San Francisco law enforcement not to comply with criminal provisions of any new immigration bill.
Nothing new about it at all:

Of course it's ANSWER and all of the usual suspects. Commies stand to profit from chaos.
This battle isnt over...it is just beginning. At least the snakes are out front for everyone to see.
You know what used to work at house parties? Someone needs to yell "THE FUZZ!".
I'm seeing a general return to faith. Not religion but spirituality. And love of country. People are seeing what's going on around them and it's pulling them together.
Patriotism is on the rise and the people are just sick and tired of all the BS. Talk to the people around here and you'll get a very different picture of what's going on. The people are not apathetic nor are they stupid. They know the score. If it's the same around the country as it is here the government is in serious trouble come next election.
Why are you feeding the troll?
bttt arrrgghh
You're absolutely right, we don't have to deport them.
Deny jobs, health care, and schools, they will deport themselves.
Time to build the fence, and start throwing employers in jail.
lol - good point. :-)
Can a Senator be impeached?
Good question. It would probably have to be by the Senate though so good luck there.
I do wonder if senators can be recalled by the people of their state.
That would only be possible if the black panthers had HAD jobs....or had even wanted jobs. And I doubt that is the case. But I wonder if the blacks in this country will ever wake up and figure out that these illegals are coming over here and, in essence, partaking of American 'free health care', taking advantage of our welfare dollars and already are putting a strain on the system. Offhand, I'd have to say that they are competing with the legal black and hispanic citizens for those social services....and the system won't take much more strain without enacting heavy tax increases. Heavy tax increases would put thousands of middle class taxpayers into the poor house and essentially onto the welfare rolls.
It's a catch-22 situation. The ONLY fix is border control, enforcement of the LAWS re: immigration, and that includes prosecuting employers that knowingly employ illegals. It's time to tell the Republicans to get off their @sses and enforce the damn law for a change.....instead of giving in and pandering to the masses.
Wild hair thought....how about making a law that any illegal caught in the US after June 1, 2006 will be jailed and put on a work detail until the cost of feeding and sheltering, providing medical care for them, and transportation expense for sending them BACK to Mexico, has been recouped. At that point, they get shipped back to Mexico. If they get caught again in the US illegally, their jail time triples.
Oh wait. We don't even make our own citizens in prison work to pay back what they've cost society/taxpayers.
(nevermind)
"I wonder if the young black panthers realize that they are unemployed because illegals have taken their jobs ....."
Senators can be impeached. So can representatives, and any public official. Article 2, Section 4 of the Constitution says how to do it.
In the history of the US, however, there has only been one impeached from office.
I think there needs to be bunch more.
Looked it up and it has happened once - a Senator Blount in 1779 but it's kind of murky...
The 1799 impeachment of Tennessee senator William Blount stalled on the grounds that the Senate lacked jurisdiction over Blount. Because, in a separate action unrelated to the impeachment procedure, the Senate had already expelled Blount, the lack of jurisdiction may have been either because Blount was no longer a senator, or because senators are not "civil officers" of the United States who are subject to impeachment. At any rate, no other member of Congress has ever been impeached. Of the remaining cases, two did not come to trial because the individuals had left office. Each of the seven Senate convictions has involved a federal judge: in the most recent such case, Alcee Hastings subsequently gained election as a member of the House of Representatives, which had impeached him.
The recall is certainly the better route but I don't know if it's possible with federal elected officials.
Great post.
Being illegal and stupid is no way to go through life.
Now will somebody please give these illegals a history lesson about how many Indigenous tribes their Spanish ancestors wiped out.
Please.
I wonder if this is still the case - i which case the answer is no, senators can not be impeached.
Damn.
Those that aren't willfully ignore these kinds of facts anyway...
Love the tagline!
