From the Dallas Morning News....David Hanschen, A Democratic candidate for judge of the 254th Family District Court, handed out bilingual fliers to the crowd that read "Tu Voz Cuenta...vota Democrata en 2006." - Your voice counts...vote Democratic in 2006. Explaining his effort, Mr. Hanschen said, "I feel we have an opportunity here to connect with and talk to thousands of Democratic voters, who have been in the past disenfranchised because they, perhaps, believed their vote didn't count. WHO CARES IF THEY AREN'T CITIZENS!

Also from the paper...Dallas lawyer George P. Bush, nephew of George W. Bush, was scheduled to speak but didn't show.

So, we had an arms length of Dems to show up and the one Republican chickened out?

Oh, and this "'I am so optimistic that I have 5,000 voter registration cards,' said Lena Levario, a criminal defense lawyer running for the 204th Criminal District Court bench a a Democrat."

The Dems are claiming that they have a thin lead over Republicans in 2006. We need to get our act together. If the base stays away from the polls as the MSM keeps carping about, then we'll just hand them the power and do we REALLY want that to happen? I know I don't.

A counter protest sign idea:
"Basta!
Vaheémonos!"

Rough translation - "Shut up! Get out!"

BellStar posted this on the Texas board... worth repeating:

Jimmy Carter AGAIN
"Undocumented" Criminals

When President Jimmy Carter took office in 1977, he appointed immigrant "rights" activist Leonel J. Castillo to head the INS. Castillo adopted the grotesque euphemism "undocumented workers" as the official INS designation for illegal immigrants. In an address to the Border Patrol Academy in June 1977, Castillo described border guards as "the front-line soldiers in President Carter's war against human rights violators. Possibly no other government agency has a greater opportunity to demonstrate to the world our concern for human rights than those of us in the immigration service."

In April 1977, President Carter announced that his vision of "human rights" would require some variety of general amnesty for illegal immigrants. In August of that same year he submitted to Congress a framework for immigration reform which included various forms of amnesty for illegal aliens, as well as penalties for employers who knowingly hired illegals and a modest increase in funding for the INS and Border Patrol. When those proposals were rejected by Congress, Carter assembled a commission headed by Reverend Theodore Hesburgh with a mandate to create another framework for immigration reform.

In May 1981, the Hesburgh Commission issued its "findings," which essentially regurgitated the Carter Administration's rejected proposals: A general amnesty for illegal aliens, coupled with employer sanctions and a modest increase in funding for border enforcement. These recommendations were incorporated into the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA), which was sold to an anxious American public as a definitive "solution" to the crisis of illegal immigration. Alas, like so many other "solutions" urged upon us by the ruling Establishment, the IRCA exacerbated the problem it was supposedly intended to fix.

On May 5, 1987, the INS opened 107 "legalization centers" across the country to begin granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens residing here. Under the provisions of the IRCA, illegal aliens who could demonstrate continuous residence in the U.S. since January 1, 1982 had one year to apply for legal resident status, and were eligible for citizenship within five years. This was an unforgivable affront to law-abiding Americans, including immigrants who had patiently undergone the trying process of acquiring legal citizenship. It was also an act of capitulation which emboldened millions of others to violate our borders in anticipation of similar amnesties in the future.

Among the INS agents who helped implement the IRCA's amnesty provisions was William King, a former chief of the Border Patrol and the first director of the Border Patrol Academy. "IRCA was supposed to be a three-legged stool," King recalled to THE NEW AMERICAN. "A lot of us who had served in the Border Patrol weren't happy with amnesty, but we thought it might be a good trade-off in exchange for employer sanctions and border enhancement."

However, observes King, the only tangible result of the IRCA has been a pool of "several hundred thousand people who have broken our laws who now have green cards and are becoming eligible for citizenship. And once they do, they can begin the process of 'chain immigration' by bringing in their relatives."

Not surprising.

Why else would the AFL-CIO be supporting these people?

I was arguing with a friend last night, about this very situation. He was saying senators and congress people should not care about the throngs of illegals protesting in the streets cause they were illegal and can't vote anyway. I explained there is no ID required here to register to vote ,or when you show up and vote! So whats to stop all these illegals from voting anyway? NOTHING!.........Many of us here in Southern California believe that how Bob Dornan lost his seat in Congress to that creep Loretta Sanchez!

The Democrats will sell out to anyone, and cheap. These are not fun times, but so what? It's about being right, that's all.

I'll bet the Democrats aren't telling the immigrants how they consistently oppose qualified Hispanics nominated by President Bush to be judges. Or that the only Congressman born in Cuba is Republican U.S. Senator Mel Martinez (FL). Or that former Democrat Attorney General Janet Reno sent the boy Elian Gonzalez back to Cuba.

If Congress wants illegal aliens to become citizens, fine, draft 'em...take all of them between 18 & 30 years of age into the Army! Let them learn some respect.

So the Democrats are once again showing that they're "just as patriotic, etc." as we are by signing up Mexican nationals to vote in our national elections.

Does anybody even bother to point out to these clowns that illegal immigrant votes are BY DEFINITION illegitimate, and can be challenged in court if the Republican candidate has the guts to pursue the case?

That's no surprise. The GOP is too stupid to do the same thing. This is how the RAT party will take back the Senate and the House in the fall. The RINOS who vote to allow amnesty will be replaced by Mexicans, and it will serve them right. In 08 they will take back the White House too.

The fact that the Dems are recruiting at these protests isn't a surprise. It fits into their big picture of race and politics (which is why the flyer's visual puts Texas and Mexico together). The Democrats classify people based upon race and then work to corner the racial voting collectives."

Well, all these people are being played like a fiddle. From the sounds of it, they utterly enjoy the pied piper's tune...
