"The map implies the DumboCRAPS want to give TX back to Mexico??"

They surely do - because so many of us vote Republican!

What the Texas GOP ought to do is print a million copies of that flyer, let folks around here know what the Dims are really after.

That should mean the end of any American ever voting Dimocrat around here!

"Why would family oriented pro-life Catholics want to vote democrat?"

Because you can still be family-oriented and pro-life - and dumb as a post.

"I'm surprised they showed a border between TX and Mexico."

Only so the cretins to whom this was addressed would recognize Texas' distinctive shape.

"Ed Gillespie, chairman of the Republican Party, said recently that Bush couldn't have beaten Kerry without the Hispanic vote"

Ed Gillespie is an ass:
Bush got what? 30% of the latino vote?

Who does he think got the rest of it?

"wmfights, you may be interested in this. I know you claimed that the lowering effect of wages was just a myth and that is is easier and cheaper for a busienss to hire a legal citizen so I'd be interested in your take on this."

If most of these illegals are high school drop outs, as we are being told. How do they have the job skills to take high wage low labor jobs? Where they are having an impact is in the area of high labor low wage jobs and even in this area the affect on wages is non existent because we have a labor shortage in this country.

Now, before you all start flaming me because I won't walk in lock step with your unrealistic positions I am in favor of a fence/wall to control the future flow of illegals. However, I am in favor of establishing a process to legalize those that are already here. I think the two have to go hand in hand. I think the anti-illegals crowd has pretty much killed any opportunity for meaningful reform with dumb things like felonies for those that are here. I've already seen the RAT talking points about how the PUBS are a bunch of racists and the hard core in the border control crowd have played right into their hands.

Yes, we know perfectly well who has organized the protests and are participating heavily. We also know that any and all groups with an unrelated agenda are also participating.

For you, it is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

-that doesn't make any sense. I would have to be involved somehow, in order for this to be a self-fulfilling prophecy; which is a prediction that actually causes itself to become true.

I'm only observing with my own two eyes, what I see and hear...

But go ahead, Ben: head on down to a protest, pass out campaign brochures, festooned with Republican campaign slogans, buttons and pins. Let me know how many minds you sway.

...But I'd recommend you bring a first aid kit cause you're probably going to need it.

"Two things, if only the Dems are handing out this sort of thing than it can be hung around their neck. But only softly.
I mean, there really is nothing wrong with promoting your political party. Except this is supposed to be a gathering of illegal immigrants and they shouldn't oughta be able to vote.
Now if the Dems argue back that they have the right to promote interest in their party, and if the lamestream buys it (which they will), then why aren't the pubbies doing the same thing"

My God Americans are naive.

There are 20 million illegal Hispanics in America.

It's 6 months until a national election.

They are marching, organized, systematically, all across the country.

This is the Democratic voter registration drive that is going to give the Democrats the Senate, and maybe the House.

The Republicans don't do anything because the Republican Party is ultimately the party of business, and business favors open borders and cheap labor.

This is the way it is.

The only way to stop this is to form a new party dedicated to closing the borders. That's it. The Democrats are relying on these illegals to put them over the top in the election, AND THEY WILL.

The Republicans are NOT going to pull out the stops to keep out illegals, because when they lose their seats in Congress, they want to go through the revolving door into corporate jobs. Corporate America LOVES cheap labor.

But Americans on the right refuse to get it.
They won't believe in systematized illegal voting to the point that they will act.
They won't leave the GOP and form a new party.
The GOP won't close the border.

Which means that the Democrats are certain to win, over time, and the country will become more and more and more Latin. That's the future. It's as plain as the nose on everyone's face.

There is one way to stop it: form a new political party that is for a closed border. Millions of Republicans will join, and millions of Democrat unionists will join, and millions of LEGAL Hispanics who are threatened with poverty by continued illegal immigration will join.

It won't WIN in 2006, the Democrats will, but it will gain momentum and come to largely replace the Republican Party as a more Conservative, middle class party.

That's your only way out of the trap.

"What are the options now for citizens who are seeing both political parties, for the purpose of political expediency, condone law breaking and the violation of America's sovereign rights to secure borders?"

There is only one option: FORM A NEW PARTY.

Imagine how much fraud the hospitals are getting away with treating illegals. $90.00 aspirin tablets must be $900.00. That and an endless supply of tax payer sponsored patients. Illegal immigrants should realize that they are a temporary pawn in this racket. Once they become tax paying citizens, they will be stuck paying for the next illegal to make it here.
The best way to stop illegal immigration would be to reward citizenship and then bring back the draft.

"Ed Gillespie is an ass:

The President got 44% of the Latino vote nationwide and Kerry got 53% with Nader getting 2%. The President's 44% was an increase of 9% from 2000. That's why the President gives campaign speeches in Spanish sometimes and is so friendly with Vincente Fox. The Republican National Committee knows that they need the Hispanic/Latino vote, the fastest growing segment of the US population. I am not defending it, I'm just trying to explain the political equations involved.

Yes, that's what Bush did, then.

But now, the talk is about illegal immigration. And the Democrats are offering amnesty, no closed borders, organizing illegals (registering them to vote), while some Republicans (the ones Democrats key on) are saying to treat them like felons and throw them out.

Massive illegal voting this time will favor the Democrats more than ever. It will also give them control of Congress.

Yes you are involved. You support/advocate policies that drive the illegals and hispanics into the open arms of the dems/unions/lefties. By doing this you fulfill your prophesy that they will vote democratic.

There are countless examples of self fulfilling prophesy by the anti crowd.

These numbers are very much disputed however. The latest estimates are that Bush got around 35% of the hispanic vote.

Those numbers though were greatly skewed by the fact that Bush got a huge amount of hispanic votes from his home state of Texas. Outside of Texas, Bush's hispanic vote wasn't very good at all.

While I've felt that the Senate would be lost for a while now, I never had any worries about losing the majority in the House - until now.

By not making the enforcement of the border a priority and actually encouraging more illegals to come over - Bush may have given the House away to the Democrats for another 40 years.

20 million illegals, all of them up in arms about immigration legislation, organized by the Democrats to protest and to register using motor voter. 10% will. 2 million votes would have turned the last election.

Republican conservatives are demoralized.

Low Republican turnout.
Volcanic illegal alien voter turnout.
Democratic Congress.
And the Democrats have felt the fear of the Nuclear Option.
They will use it at once.

Does this mean 40 years of Democrats?
It might.
It depends.

The Republican Party is fatally aligned with the interests of big business and big capital. THAT is why they CANNOT and WILL NOT, EVER, close that borders.

But a new party of America Firsters could leave the Republican Party and form a new party, and they actually have natural allies in the white labor unionists on many issues.

The Democrats throwing open the borders drives down middle and lower class white wages and job security dramatically. Working class whites and unionists will NEVER vote for the Republican Party. It's a class thing. The Republicans remain primarily the party of the bosses and the owners and big capital. Unionists won't vote for them.

But a new party that wasn't simply the party of big business, and didn't have the Republicans history: this could cobble together a new majority out of the white middle, with an assist from legal Hispanics who are REALLY pressured by illegals.

That's the only way to do it.
But, if American Conservatives are excessively loyal to the Republican Party, it won't happen, and the Democrats will re-emerge ruling the roost.

Good post! What are you thoughts on the Constitution party?

Also, I believe there are a huge number of small "l" libertarians (Neil Boortz types) that are ready to bolt the Republican party as well.

My own, personal thoughts?

I am critical of certain aspects of the Constitution Party, because I think they have some nutty positions. But if there were a candidate offered to me in my district in Connecticut, I would vote for him this election cycle.

My main criticism is that they are too Protestanty and insistent on "moral" positions (like opposition to gambling in general, and Indian casinos) which I think is just silly.
