"While I've felt that the Senate would be lost for a while now, I never had any worries about losing the majority in the House - until now.
By not making the enforcement of the border a priority and actually encouraging more illegals to come over - Bush may have given the House away to the Democrats for another 40 years."

20 million illegals, all of them up in arms about immigration legislation, organized by the Democrats to protest and to register using motor voter. 10% will. 2 million votes would have turned the last election.

Republican conservatives are demoralized.

Low Republican turnout.
Volcanic illegal alien voter turnout.
Democratic Congress.
And the Democrats have felt the fear of the Nuclear Option.
They will use it at once.

Does this mean 40 years of Democrats?
It might.
It depends.

The Republican Party is fatally aligned with the interests of big business and big capital. THAT is why they CANNOT and WILL NOT, EVER, close that borders.

But a new party of America Firsters could leave the Republican Party and form a new party, and they actually have natural allies in the white labor unionists on many issues.

The Democrats throwing open the borders drives down middle and lower class white wages and job security dramatically. Working class whites and unionists will NEVER vote for the Republican Party. It's a class thing. The Republicans remain primarily the party of the bosses and the owners and big capital. Unionists won't vote for them.

But a new party that wasn't simply the party of big business, and didn't have the Republicans history: this could cobble together a new majority out of the white middle, with an assist from legal Hispanics who are REALLY pressured by illegals.

That's the only way to do it.
But, if American Conservatives are excessively loyal to the Republican Party, it won't happen, and the Democrats will re-emerge ruling the roost.

Good post! What are you thoughts on the Constitution party?

Also, I believe there are a huge number of small "l" libertarians (Neil Boortz types) that are ready to bolt the Republican party as well.

DUmocrats see minorities as nothing more than tokens to keep them in power positions.
