I was stunned at the honesty of this article.

Thank you, Mr. Williams! Your article is about as blunt and honest as it gets...I'd like to see the MSM try and spin a single word! Very refreshing.

I used to wonder just how desperate Americas socialist left would become once completely rejected from power in both houses of congress, most state governor mansions, the White House and the Supreme Court. The real tragedy is what the majority HASN'T DONE.

I am also stunned by the stupidity of average citizens who can't be bothered to find the truth.
We have uncounted ways to find out what is happening in just a few minutes each day, and these boobs can't be bothered.
Or as Irv Homer used to say "They are Sheeple'

Most of the article is right on BUT the biggest threat to America was not mentioned, Illegal alien invasion by left wing socialist subversives commonly referred to as illegal immigrants and their supporters.
They are demonstrating and taking over our streets in every city of our country again and again and again in obscene outrageous numbers, are throwing bottles (for now) at CITIZENS and drawing every dangerous group to demonstrate with them. No One is doing anything to stop them.
However most of the article speaking about our role in Iraq or our President I did not approve of.

But haven't the lies been the media MO for about 30 years?
What about Watergate? And what about the lies they always published about Reagan?
The article even states that Rather and Mapes were fired...that wouldn't have happened 10 years ago.
The big picture is that the media is actually losing its hold. Sure, they are throwing every scrap of dirt in their arsenal right now (and even fooling many conservatives I might add). But it's not going to work.

"But what about average Americans? Are they really as stupid as Democrats and their buddies in the press believe?"
Yes.
However, the lamestream media - I like that one - is - SO FAR being countered by the new information source - the Internet.
Conservatism and American CAN survive the lamestream press because in the final analysis the truth will out, even if the average American is too busy or too lazy to read the entire article.
What WILL destroy America is the failure of Congress and the Current Administration to prevent the dismemberment of American culture and society by invaders from south of the border, and subversive ticking time bombs from the Islamic world ("Islam is a peaceful religion".)
What WILL destroy America are Congresscritters like John McCain, a self-serving, shameless media prostitute who has already compromised the American political system with McCain-Feingold, pairing up with the most odious Democrat leftists to engineer a bill to abridge free speech and open dialogue about candidates for office. Mr. McCain's latest act of media rectal osculation is his scheme to attack the Internet, as so lucidly brought out recently in this forum.
The Democrats ARE a thoroughly evil, left-wing, subversive organization, confiscated from populists by cryptocommunists and pseudosocialists.
Unfortunately, the party of opposition, the Republicans, has proven itself totally inept in effectively dealing with them.
The Democrats' recent losses are due more to their own ineptitude and their all-consuming irrational hatred for Bush, a President who in many ways is far closer to them than most Republicans in political thinking. This irrational hatred has blunted any effective opposition to the Republicans for the present.
But the very low poll ratings for BOTH parties indicate the public dissatisfaction with business as usual in Washington.

Stunning honesty and a quarter won't buy you a cup of coffee.
Particularly a cup served by a self-appointed "expert" from Canada who presumes to tell the Greatest Nation in the history of the world what's wrong with it.
Mental institutions in Canada are full of these helpful types.

Clintonism demonstrated that the majority of Americans are easily deceived and seduced!!!!
Here we are all these years after Joe Wilson's trip to Niger in February 2002, a mere 5 months after 9/11, and the story has deteriorated to 'Bush leaked' crap.
Why would Joe Wilson accept this mission to go and sip mint tea without being a government employee??? Could it be that the liberals had plans from the get go, all by design, as described in that later leaked Rockefeller's get Bush memo???
This story had its beginning shortly after 9/11 and appears there was a global attempt to save Saddam, crush Bush, using the liberal socialists method of operation, doing whatever it takes.

This is one of the most honest articles I've read about the media in years.

But what about average Americans? Are they really as stupid as Democrats and their buddies in the press believe? I didnt think so once, but yes, they are it seems
and that is the real problem. We live in a drive-thru fast-food sound-bite society today. Few Americans have the initiative to even read the complete text of a column much less independently investigate a story to find out if what they are being told is true. Some dont even care if its true as long as it helps the cause. A quick glance at the headlines makes everyone an expert on any subject today. And if the headline appears in enough papers, it is assumed to be true.
That says it all.
Slowly, but surely, the "uninterested" are getting the picture.
Baghdad Bob would not play well in the U.S. --- forever.
