When the Minutemen set up shop at the Arizona border last year to call attention to the illegal alien loophole in US Homeland Security, President Bush foolishly chided these brave patriots by calling them vigilantes. Although chagrined at being deserted by the man who has the constitutional responsibility and authority to defend our borders, the Minutemen dug in their heels and persisted. And persisted.
Their Yankee determination to do the right thing was rewarded when President Bush finally sent additional border patrol agents to Arizona. Even the Mexican government was motivated to pay greater attention, at least temporarily, because of the due diligence of heroic Minutemen.
Before the Minuteman took their courageous stand, open border advocates and anti-American liberals insisted it was impossible to stop illegal immigration. Best to just accept reality, learn Spanish, and switch to rice and beans as food stables, according to the leftists and Hispanic racists.
Thank God, the Minutemen PROVED illegal aliens CAN be stopped, thereby delivering a great victory on behalf of all American citizens.

Maybe you could help me a bit further here - first, you claim that Bush's comments were taken out of context, and then you claim that, because of the Stormfronters trying to infiltrate the Minutemen, that Bush's context was correct.
If you could pick one spin and stick with it, we might be able to have a more productive debate here.
On some around here you are talking to a stone. Example after example has been laid out in front of them to read (in English I might add) where Bush called them vigilantes, yet they still deny he said it. Amazing.
This entire thread was pulled because of people advocating violence against border crossers: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1611636/posts?page=32
Oh, that's a hoot. There are what, all of five freepers attempting this spin? I don't need to win you over. You'v shown what your opinions are worth - diddly squat. I'm just showing how depraved your opinions are - and that you have contradicted yourself in the same thread - first claiming Bush's comments were taken out of context, and then claiming the context was accurate.
And here's a hint - if your positions are based on truth, no one can stop you from commenting.
I have seen many comments and attacks on the President
And have not seen any against StormFront
I've had enough of these threads .. and will go back to igorning them
Are you a Professional Straw-Grasper, or is it just a hobby?
Ping
And guess what? It was pulled.
And the Minutement prohibit anyone from advocating violence, much less engaging in such. Now, compare that to the leve of violent crime committed by illegals in this country every day, and tell me if the larger problem is illegals, or a few over-the-top posters on FR, whose comments get yanked anyway.
It's a hobby, but the facts remains if neither of us read the PDB, there's no way to say there is
no rational evidence to suggest he knew about any group other than the Minutemen."
Isn't it?!!!
I'm just answering Velveeta's question - don't get all huffy about it.
They keep forgetting on itsy bitsy thing...there's a paper trail where he said it, a 82,600 paper trail. :-)
IT'S THE MOTHER OF ALL RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION POSTS!
I can't believe we just saw this. Because we're not decrying Stormfront, you're gonna walk away.
News flash - any time I see anything REMOTELY resembling a Stormfont post, I hurl the worst insults at it I can craft after I've mashed ABUSE. There is a reason we don't need to discuss Stormfront here, because we evict them as soon as they show up.
I've had enough of these threads .. and will go back to igorning them
Yep, you couldn't deal with the contradictions in your own posts - time to bang indignantly on the table and then leave in a phoney fit of righteous rage.
I'm not sure what it is you want confirmed. The Council on Foreign Relations exists as does the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America. You can get more information from Google as well as info about CFR's document "Building a North American Community."
Guess you haven't noticed the number of freepers who are avoiding these types of threads
Quote: "They were "migrants" when all they did was to pick fruit and vegetables.
Now they are doing construction work and many other jobs that don't require them to "migrate" all over the country.
Many fruit and vegetable picking jobs are now done by machine. We don't need nearly as many "migrants" to pick crops anymore.
So why are so many more of them here now?
What part of that don't you understand?" Unquote
Now that you put it that way, I *do* understand. I never said I liked the situation. It is shameful what has been done to this Country. It has been sliced and diced. Hardly anyone is an American any longer, unless there is a hyphen attached with another nationality after it.
I guess I just wanted to vent. I will go back into the lurking mode now.
Thank You,
TL
This from someone who contradicted their own spin in this thread. That's a nasty case of projection you have there. And another lovely flourish of righteous indignation, although not nearly as absurd as your last one.
Guess you haven't noticed the number of freepers who are avoiding these types of threads
And silly me, I thought it was because it is getting harder and harder to reasonably defend Bush on the subject of illegal immigration. I know I wouldn't want that job now.
There's two reasons why many don't post on these threads....but neither is for the reason which you insinuate. 1) If one's been banned, they can't post; 2) the bannings have deterred others from wanting to engage in speaking the truth.
OK, now I see what you mean.
I agree, for FReepers to state that we should shoot first and ask questions later, is wrong...very wrong.
