Did he asked Kerry anything about Guantanamo Miss Marple?

Guantanamo was great, say boys freed from US prison camp No this is not from our media, but the liberal London Independent.

"I am lucky I went there, and now I miss it. Cuba was great," said the 14-year-old, knotting his brow in the effort to make sure he is understood.

He spent a typical day watching movies, going to class and playing football. He was fascinated to learn about the solar system, and now enjoys reciting the names of the planets, starting with Earth. Less diverting were the twice-monthly interrogations about his knowledge of al-Qaida and the Taliban.

Tracked down to his remote village in south-eastern Afghanistan, Naqibullah has memories of Guantanamo that are almost identical to Asadullah's. Prison life was good, he said shyly, nervous to be receiving a foreigner to his family's mud-fortress home.

The food in the camp was delicious, the teaching was excellent, and his warders were kind. "Americans are good people, they were always friendly, I don't have anything against them," he said. "If my father didn't need me, I would want to live in America."

If only our media care to report a truth or two it would be nice.

Fitzgerald never put Russert under oath, yet he took Russert's word over Libby's as to whether he had spoken to Libby about Valerie Plame. I sincerely hope that Libby's attorneys put Tim under oath this time around.

Why don't you want to talk about the 48,000 documents of Saddam's papers the President just released???

We cant have Saddams own words justifying his overthrow, can we?

McCain told an audience none of them would work for $50 an hour in jobs Americans would not do. Just then, several in the audiences corrected him and shouted out Yes they would!

Then McCain basically said they were all lying. (What a guy.)

People who rant about sitting out elections or forming a third party because of their frustration should keep that in mind. The current democrats cannot be trusted with national security, foreign policy, nor the supervision of the military. They MUST NOT win the White House

Nor with fiscal policy, energy policy, Diplomacy, Law Enforcement, Border Security, Govt spending, Taxes nor any other aspect of the Govt the Squeal Squad continually rants about. The fact over looked in this whole Immigration Scream fest is the Democrats wanted the weakest bill possible and simply blocked anything with any teeth. All the Freeper screamer may want to consider just what bill on Immigration a Democrat Congress would pass if they win in 2006.

I'm at a complete and total loss on how to get the media to pay attention to the Saddam documents which prove beyond a shadow of a doubt the president did not lie about at least one of the key reasons we went to war -- Saddam's support, training and relationship with Al Qaeda.

As I said, I've e-mailed each of jveritas translated documents to a dozen media outlets that I thought would be sympathetic to the issue.

But I have to say, if the administration doesn't understand the importance of getting the word out to the media and talk about the documents, I don't think there's much we can do beyond what we've already done. I am open to suggestions, however.

Wasn't that Wall comment the absolute lowest> I was typing with my mouth open in absolute amazement at such crass opportunism and self-dramatization.

The Edward R. Murrow award for Excellence in Journalism is awarded by the Radio & Television News Directors Association (RTNDA).  In 1958 "Murrow delivered a speech to the Radio & Television News Directors Association decrying the poor quality of programming on TV. Although the speech sparked industry resentment against Murrow, by 1971 the RTNDA had established the Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Journalism." (via WGBH)

That speech is a featured part of George Looney's "Good Night and Good Luck" hagiography on Murrow.  They don't have records on their site for awards prior to 2002 and that's the year Phillips joined Fox, which pretty much rules out the award being for any date from there forward.  You can probably guess what they are rewarding with this award.

We can slowly implement new laws that will disallow children of immigrants to enter the school system. We can disallow anchor babies.

IMO, it's not the large corporations, it's the small contractors who are hiring these people.

Random visits from Immigration would go a long way to alleviating the problem.

It's not going to be fixed overnight and we're not going to round up ten million people, provide due process, take care of their minor children in the meantime.....

McCain is out of touch if he believes that $50 an hour is not attractive to a sizeable percentage of Americans. It works out to an annual salary of $104,000.

Today was not the 1st time Kerry has said he visited the Wall. His shameless use of these heroes who did not run to elevate himself is beyond the Pale.

The conspiracy of silence around the Saddam docs is frustrating. Man I wish Rush or someone could grab the President and say "Fire side chat time. Go on in prime time and TALK about what a success this has been to release these docs and THANK the people for doing it"

Worst of all was McCain saying we should be making our decisions based on the protests in the streets.

So we should have middle east policy based on street demonstrations?

I can't access the entire Wash Post article, but look at this headline from 2003, pre-election:

"Poll: Majority Backs Use of Force in Iran
June 24, 2003
Most Americans would support the United States taking military action to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons despite growing public concern about the mounting number of U.S. military casualties in the aftermath of the war with Iraq, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll."

Even wierder, Couric & her new date attended BET founder's former wife's marriage. What is funny here is the husband of BET founder's former wife is the Judge who gave the divorce to BET founder.

Weird, No?
