SENATOR SESSIONS ON SECURING AMERICA'S BORDERS ACT Mr. President, I thank Senator Leahy, ranking member on the Judiciary Committee. I have received just this afternoon in my office some disturbing news in the form of correspondence from the Congressional Budget Office. It suggests a number of areas where the amendment we are talking about here today, No. 3424, the immigration so-called compromise, violates our budget and the rules of the Senate. Let me read from the correspondence we have received. This is something, as you know, Mr. President, as a member of the Judiciary Committee, that we never discussed at all. It is not a matter we spent any time at all discussing as we moved forward with legislation which ultimately cleared that committee and came to the floor — legislation which I thought was not good legislation and which I opposed, and so did the Senator from Texas, who just relinquished the Chair. We didn't discuss the financial impact of the legislation before us. Stand Up For America !

NBC's Dateline Caught in New Scandal -Jim Kouri

Slowly -- ever so slowly -- a new mainstream news media scandal is being exposed by members of the so-called new media. This time it's NBC News's "Dateline" which is being investigated for allegedly creating news rather than reporting news.

According to producers at NBC News, the show is attempting to film Americans' reaction to seeing Muslim men in their midst at public events. And, although they'll never admit it, they're pulling their stunt at events they believe will attract the most rednecks.

For instance, NBC sent a film crew with a group of "Muslim-looking men" to a NASCAR event in Virginia in order to film the reaction of the spectators. Apparently, NBC believes that's where they're likely to get a desired reaction from the bigots who attend NASCAR races. In the middle of a war on terrorism, NBC wants to show "Dateline" viewers that Americans are a bunch of bigots.

LOL! You took me back to 70' before DeVry was well known. Here in Chicago it was a old factory, all male students on the first floor. Me, a teen-ager was so angry I walked in there, yelling I'm getting signature's on a very important petition (the old fashioned way of foot soldiering)...the petition was to support the 1970 military trial of William Calley the cover-up of the My Lai massacre began almost as soon as the killing ended

Well, my eyes were open in the Clinton era, when I saw the black democrats from the House all belonged to DSA...stunned my this was public! Maxine Waters was even once on the board. It's somewhat new to me. I'm an old hippie. I began to wake up in the early '80s when I saw attacks on the 2nd Amendment. Became a life member of the NRA in '86 and started reading their magazines. Then, out of curiosity generated by commercials for a new show, I started watching Rush on TV in the early '90s. At first I thought he was a bit wacked but funny. After a couple of months I saw what he was getting at and started to pay closer attention. Within six months I realized I had always been a conservative and just didn't know it.

In '94 I met a man who clobbered the remaining remnants of PC/liberal hogwash, that had accumulated due to hygeinic neglect, out of my hide. I still love Rush but he seems sooooooooo mild to me now. Now I've been a FReeper for 5 1/2 years. Hoo ah! ; )

Critics: Border bill has security flaws- Past amnesties for illegal aliens have been used by at least five terrorists to stay in the United States while they planned their attacks, a fact which critics say proves their contention that the 'path to earned citizenship' in immigration bills now before the Senate constitutes a security risk.
'We are just asking for trouble, having a program like that at the moment,' said Janice Kephart, former counsel to the Sept. 11 Commission and now a private sector border security consultant.
'It is a big, fat invitation to fraud which would overwhelm the system, and a diversion of scarce resources from where they are needed,' Kephart told United Press International Monday.
