Crappiest sub I've ever had. 2 paper-thin pieces of roast beef, 1 piece of cheese, and a tiny amount of lettuce and tomato. No wonder that fat slob lost all that weight eating there. It's 95% bread. I've never gone back and never will.
Subway is one lame chain.
Quiznos is much better. But a sub made by one's loving husband is even better.
Hear, hear. I find Quizno's to be almost as bad.
Maybe the gals thought you should lose weight?
Use a different approach the next time like I do. I'm not a wild asshole. I always connect with the cuties that make my food and get a steaming hot pastrami with melted swiss on toasted wheat that is so big, it takes a knife to cut it into useful portions.
There are endless benefits to appreciating people:)
I think a lot of that varies from one location to another. There are two Subway locations in western Canada that make the best -- and biggest -- tuna subs I've ever had.
But that's just us, people who are concerned about the healthiness of what we eat.
Here in New England, I have no idea how Subways even survive the marketplace. There's a mom-and-pop sub shop on virtually every street corner and their subs blow away anything Subway is making. One of my favorite subs is pepper and egg with mushrooms. Can't get that one at Subway.
The subs you get from the Publix supermarket deli beat Subway's like a rented mule.
"No wonder that fat slob lost all that weight eating there."
That is a good thing. That is their point about Jared*.
*That fat slob is a human being named Jared.
Couldn't agree more, I have never understood what people see in Subway.
95% percent really bad tasting bread. The bread, IMO, is the worst thing about it ... and the yellow mustard just sloshed over the sandwich ... even tuna salad.
It's horrible.
Back when I ate "fast food", I tried Subway once, and it was mediocre at best - I'm sure it's not as processed as the true "fast foods" like McD's and Burger King, but it was just bland, flavorless stuff.
My favorite subs, outside of the mom and pop's in NYC and Westchester county, NY, was Togos here in Northern Cal.
Now I'm a heretical lo-carber, lost a lot of weight and corrected a lot of looming medical concerns with it, so I don't eat out much anyway, and I don't crave that kind of food anymore. Juts the idea of eating potato chips and soda and a heavy carb laden sub makes me feel queasy, I can feel the carb fog without even being near the stuff.
I am with you on that pal, I just had one for lunch a few hours ago and it was so below average. I can't understand what people see in these things. Stay in shape and eat where or whatever you want in MODERATION and enjoy it all!
You are right about the subs being mostly bread. The only way one can lose weight on subs is to buy a 1/2 sandwich and cut it in half; then eat one 1/2 one day the the other 1/2 on another day.
