I don't know about any comments about John Roberts' son, but Robin Givhan is the "Fashion Editor" from the Washington Post who in 2000 wrote scathing remarks about Katherine Harris' makeup, and in 2001 wrote a rather cryptically sarcastic column about Laura Bush's "conservative choice" of inauguration clothing. She is a piece of work.

Braids. All corn rows are braids but not all braids are corn rows.

(this has been another useless fact)

The guy was doing his job to keep riff-raff out of the House Chambers. Unfortunately he has to allow 526 of them through.

Note in her bio--She lives in New York and has a dog.

A dog is the only one that would put up with her.

I'm not sure what you mean. What do you mean by universal suffrage?

Who is everybody ratikal? Why aren't you saying what is now clear to me in your posts? Are you afraid of getting banned? Personally, if that's what you believe, it doesn't affect me one way or the other and I could care less whether you stay or go. Why aren't you saying you don't think black people should have the right to vote?

"IIRC this is the same 'reporterette' that made fun of the way John Roberts son was dressed..."

Amazing that she gets paid for such fluff. Her job makes Maureen Dowd look like the hardest working journalist in America.

Is this the same wench who gave the Veep a ration of excrement for wearing a warm coat to some ceremony?

I remember that article. Vice President Cheney had the audacity to wear a parka during cold weather.

Oh! The NERVE!

I think we're all overloking the most important role the congresswoman's hair has played in the aftermath of this incident: she's unable to look in the mirror when placing blame, as she would turn to stone. . .

But it was impossible not to stare at her hair. As your plainspoken mother might say, it appeared to be standing all over her head.

It's possible she caught a glance at the Mexican Staring Frog of Southern Sri Lanka.

She is also the one that wrote about Condi wearing high heeled boots. She is a "Fashion as Politics" journalist.

>i?A black woman's hair is a bottomless source of inspiration for essays, books and documentaries.

Pity. I have managed to live a full and happy life without knowing this profound fact. I confess, never have I read a book or seen a documentary about a black woman's hair.

You obviously haven't read this book:

And it's been the subject of analysis and a teaching tool, as in here.
