When I first moved to San Diego a couple years ago, I saw this building on the way to the zoo, and knowing what I knew *then* about La Raza, I was pretty creeped out...
Centro Cultural de la Raza: Established in 1970, Centro is dedicated to creating, promoting, and preserving Chicano, Mexican, and Indigenous art and culture.

One would wonder why La Raza would bother to make any statement that would identify itself with America. It and the other racial groups (Nation of Islam, for example) KNOW where their power is: it's with racism.
The racist card plays well; has since Affirmative Action Racism began in the 70's -- unforeseen outcome of the Civil Rights Act.
Title IX is another bad outcome of the same law. It tried to make men and women the same in sports. Didn't happen; won't ever happen. But, that's another story for another time.

MEChA and the La Raza movement teach that Colorado, California, Arizona, Texas, Utah, New Mexico, Oregon and parts of Washington State make up an area known as "Aztlan"
I didn't know the Chinook Indians of the NW were AssTecs...where are the temples

Thanks for your San Diego perspective, cgk.
Most foreigners who enter the US illegally, come here not to integrate into American society, but mainly to get find work. They disrupt our employment process, undermine our social welfare system and basically steal from the American people. Not to mention drug running and other related criminal activities associated with ilegal immigration, that includes possible terrorist activities.
We see today in Iraq what a small band of insurgents can accomplish. If things don't go the right way for these militant Hispanic groups, can you imagine what serious trouble they're capable of making for the American people. IMHO, that serious is just around the corner.

To most of the mainstream media, most members of Congress, and even many of their own members, the National Council of La Raza is no more than a Hispanic Rotary Club. They are either blind or don't want to see the truth about "La Raza". I and my family have always known the truth about groups like "La Raza". Usually a good tipoff is any organization that uses the word "Chicano" anywhere in its literature. It bothers the heck out of me that Alberto Gonzalez was on the board of one of La Raza's state affiliates in Texas.

If La Raza is so concerned about the indigenous peoples of Mexico, did they protest a few years ago when the Mexican government threw out foreigners that were helping that Nutjob Subcomandante Marcos and the Zapatistas?
It's against Mexican law for foreigners to participate in politics in Mexico, you see.

The final plan for the La Raza movement includes the ethnic cleansing of Americans of European, African, and Asian descent out of "Aztlan."They have done so already in some of their colonies in California in terms of forcing out non-Mexican students in the schools, businesses, etc.
Recently here on the Central Coast store employees that used to speak both Spanish and English to customers now refose to speak English.

The argument against the Left that I have yet to hear is this:
the illegals, regardless of the euphemistic ways of referring to their employment, are "working under the table."
Many have done so and I don't think anyone who has, disliked it. You are willing to work for far less pay if it is under-the-table -- because you are paying no taxes and therefore taking home far more than you would.
The argument has been made that the American people who think they're saving money with the cheap labor are not, that they simply pay it through a back-door they can't see, through social services.
But you'd think the Left would be really ticked that all these workers are not paying taxes, which is the raison d'etre of the Left. I know they'll excuse it saying they are the poor and oppressed, etc. ad nauseum. But the fact is they are only contributing halfway to the Socialist state they are trying to implement by forcing a redistribution from Americans but not paying into the State.

Anti-American racists. Balls to bone.
Isn't Spain part of Europe?? The vast majority of these Hispanics are of Spanish descent, NOT of Indian descent, in fact, they discriminate against the Indios.

la Raza...............We Americans will find this is just another name for Hamas. But not until the whores in congress have given away our great nation.

That's how you get Reconquistas to go away. Point out that they would have to take Utah back.
The last time I surfed through a bunch a Mecha websites, (boy, will that give you a headache); they seem to have removed the "Todo por la Raza" line. They aren't stupid.
So if I'm a legal Argentinean, Chilean, Uruguayan or Brazilian immigrant; and I see all the Brown Pride shirts and listen to that crap in my native language (or something close to it in the case of Brazilians); the first thing I would do is join the Minutemen.
