Morning RP!
Good morning, rp. Once again, Tony is on the front lines of what matters.
How do you slip legislative poison past a US senator? Bury it on page 302........it would replace the country's entire bench of experienced immigration judges with pro-immigration advocates.......today's immigration judges (who serve for life) are dedicated to enforcing the law........This bill forces all immigration judges to step down after seven years - and restricts replacements to attorneys with at least five years' experience practicing immigration law.
Kin ya squeal like a pig?
I'm for more open immigration...BUT, felons staying? No! Public benefits to non-residents? Heck No! No. And a wholesale change of Immigration Judges? Cuss Jar NO! Tony just said it--the Dimmwits are dealing in bad faith. Unlike Tony, I do believe you have to have a comprehensive solution, because solving just a piece of it makes the rest worse.
Not one member of the Supreme Court would qualify for this judgeship if it passed.
Can't get a clip from DC.
They need you back!
BRING SHANA BACK. :)
How do we know who has been here more than 2 years? What proof will be necessary? How can we be sure the proof isn't forged? How stupid are senators?

"They Wouldn't Let Me!"
Read:
|
A woman was trapped on the top floor of a burning building. Flames and smoke blocked every way of escape. When firefighters arrived, one of the men scrambled up a ladder to the window where the woman was screaming for help, and with outstretched arms he offered to save her. But when she looked down and saw the great distance to the ground below, she panicked and drew back into the room.
The man attempting the rescue begged her to trust him for her safety, but his pleas were not heeded. In senseless fear she retreated beyond the fireman's reach. Finally, being forced to return to the ground, he said with tears in his eyes, "I did everything I could to save her, but she wouldn't let me!"
Those words made me think of the spiritual peril facing so many people. Jesus longs to forgive their sins, but they stubbornly resist His offer of salvation. By refusing to trust Him, they are like the woman who perished in the flames even though she could have escaped.
Dear friend, right now believe on the Lord Jesus! He invites you to come to Him (Matthew 11:28). Don't be among those of whom the Lord must say, "I did everything I could to save them, but they wouldn't let Me!" Richard De Haan
Faith is the hand that receives God's gift.
LOL. Larry Craig up in the Senate saying we can't do this if we don't secure the borders and then speaks approvingly of the phony "earned citizenship" nonsense.
MATTHEWS: So the president, September 30th of that year, two months after this happened, according to Scooter Libby, the president said that no one has leaked any information about national security in this administration and if they did I'll catch him.
KERRY: ...blah, blah, blah And their word is now even less meaningless than it was a few hours ago, if that's true.
BWAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
It looks like our side of the aisle got smart for once and actually read the proposed legislation and found a few surprises:
Like that surprise hidden on page 302 - which would replace the country's entire bench of experienced immigration judges with pro-immigration advocates.
With a few exceptions, today's immigration judges (who serve for life) are dedicated to enforcing the law, and they do a difficult job well. This bill forces all immigration judges to step down after serving seven years - and restricts replacements to attorneys with at least five years' experience practicing immigration law.
Virtually the only lawyers who'll meet that requirement are attorneys who represent aliens in the immigration courts - who tend to be some of the nation's most liberal lawyers, and who are certainly unlikely as a class to be fond of enforcing immigration laws.
Just before the committee approved the bill on the evening of March 27, Sen. Richard Durbin (D-Ill.) offered the "DREAM Act" as an amendment. It passed on a voice vote.
The DREAM Act is a nightmare. It repeals a 1996 law that prohibits state universities from offering in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens. The principle, of course, is that no illegal alien should be entitled to receive a taxpayer-subsidized benefit that out-of-state U.S. citizens can't get. But the committee's bill allows illegals to be treated better than those U.S. citizens on tuition.

You linked directly to the article (which is fine), but you might want to link to the FR thread that you posted:

And, if you listened to Jeff Sessions last night, the law is written in such a way as to make that very easy and not subject to challenge.
One suggestion is to check the age of the "anchor babies".
