You guys have GOT to get a good quality Grape Seed Extract - it's a very powerful antioxidant. I don't get colds or the flu anymore. When I do get something (about every 3-5 years) it's mild compared to everyone else's symptoms. I get mine from ROEX, Inc. (www.Roex.com) out of Irvine, CA. It is expensive, and it is a maintenance thing...not just a couple tablets and stop taking it. I've been taking them since 1995. I interviewed the guy who owns the company in 1995, and his story is that he had such bad allergies that he went searching for something better than the shots, and countless opinions and tests from Allergists. It fights free-radicals and that equals giving your body more tools to ward off the bad guys, essentially. The human body is programmed to be well, but doesn't always have the tools to do it by itself...and we eat poorly, you know. The other nice thing is that because of how it does its work, it holds Vitamin C in your system longer. Vit C helps build collegen (sp?) and that helps your skin, too. There's all sorts of benefits from this stuff. My lipid panel is to die for. I freaked out a Kidney specialist doctor friend of mine with my results. He couldn't believe I was not only NOT at risk for heart problems, I was in a negative, negative risk area.
It's called PC-95 (procyanidin sp? and 95 represents the percentage of purity --- the CostCo brand I looked at while there last week is only 85% pure).
FYI only.

WOW! That's great info. Now that you mention it, I remember hearing something about how good grape seed extract was, but couldn't remember what it was good for. Thanks for the link. I'd like to try this. I really hate getting sick and not being able to sing. It's like telling an addict he has to go "cold turkey" - AAARRRRgh! I hate missing a day of singing. It's not that I'm a great singer, it's just what I do.

I tried grape seed extract after many people had recommended it and to my horror discovered that for some reason it gives me some of the worst migraines I've ever had.

I am going to check that out, thanks for the info.
Mr.FF and I both are asthma sufferers, and sinus too. It gets tiresome after all these years to deal with.

Good post on the grape seed extract. Some of my food allergies are gone since I started taking it. I take it for lots of reasons, including my stomach and sinus problems. I used to get sinus headaches that would last for days, now if I get one at all it lasts 2 or 3 hours at most.
You can get a lot of good even if it isn't expensive.
