According tg radio reports, Cynthia (like my new hairstyle?) Mckinney is on the floor of the HOUSE right now apologizing (yes, saying she is sorry) for her actions. I think the fact a Federal Grand Jury is ready to indict her might have something to do with this, as well as none of her lefty HOuse members want anything to do with her pathetic behavior..

Since she's a lib, that makes it all OK.

Apologizing does not justify what filth she is, deep down in that rats nest.

McKinney blinked first bump.
This should still not prevent DOJ from vigorously prosecuting this case

So if you're a Dem, you should be able to take a free poke at a cop as long as you regret it later.

Hey, great precedent if she gets off with no charges. If she does, then I think I'll go rob a bank, spend all the stolen money then apologize for it know the McKinney Precedent absolves me of any punishment! WOO HOO!

Conservatives need to keep making this an issue, Lott said I was sorry a dozen times and Dems still rode the issue into the ground, her a** needs to be forced to resign.

What is she apologizing for? I thought she was only guilty of being "black while in Congress"?

Not to worry, Ms. McKinney isn't truly sorry. She's merely trying to drag her sorry butt out of the frying pan. She believes, only, in the United States of McKinney. That's a small province down Atlanta way where no tax is too big and no outrage is too small.

She apologized after learning that two staffers who witnessed the incident were scheduled to testify in front of the grand jury.
And the staffers's testimony was not very helpful to her case.

Janet Reno apologized for listening to "someone" who said there was a meth lab in the Davidian compound, so she burned it.
It's a proven technique for the left, it gets the press off your back and just may fend off further investigation.

I was hoping she'd remain defiant and keep it in the news a little longer. Too bad the Cop wasn't black. I'd love to see what she would have said then.

I heard some of it on the radio. It sounded more like she regreted the incident happened instead of apologizing for striking a federal law enforcement officer.
Someone's been taking the "Bill Clinton non-apology apology" class.

She is late.
I doubt if the grand jury is watching C-SPAN.
Her last 72 hours have been such an embarrassment - it's hard to put into words.
Prosecute the fool.
