According tg radio reports, Cynthia (like my new hairstyle?) Mckinney is on the floor of the HOUSE right now apologizing (yes, saying she is sorry) for her actions. I think the fact a Federal Grand Jury is ready to indict her might have something to do with this, as well as none of her lefty HOuse members want anything to do with her pathetic behavior..

Consider how Dems don't need to apologize when caught practicing sodomy with someone young enough to be their daughter.
Given that, what do they need to apologize for?
Not counting the "algore" style of apology, of course: "I certainly didn't mean to offend my opponent when I suggested that his grandmother had intercourse with a donkey, but if he took offense than I am sorry."

Come to think of it, this "one free poke" sounds a lot like a variation on Bubba's "one free grope" defense.

Unfortunately it's probably very safe. She served 5 terms, was unseated by another Democrat and then won office again after re-districting.
She's an embarrassment to the HoR, DNC, Atlanta and Georgia, but she's a black Democrat in a heavily black, urban district, so she'll almost certainly be re-elected. The only hope is that the DNC gets tired of her and supports a challenger within the party.

So if you're a Dem, you should be able to take a free poke at a cop as long as you regret it later. In the mind of a liberal this is a true statement. To people like you and me it's sarcasm.

She needs to apologize to the Policeman she hit.She also needs to apologize for the race baiting. By the way, was Danny Blubber or Harry Bellowfonte at her side?

Does Lott still have the perk of riding to the Hill in a limosine? How did he pull off that deal, being treated like the House leader even though he is not?

After reviewing the video tape of he incident, made available under disclosure rules, Cynthia apologizes.

Too bad the Cop wasn't black. I'd love to see what she would have said then. According to the race-baiters, a black cop who is professional, judicious and effective has "internalized racism."
In other words, it's always whitey's fault, even if whitey uses a black cop to enforce the "evil, racist, unfair" laws.

Hey, great precedent if she gets off with no charges. If she does, then I think I'll go rob a bank, spend all the stolen money then apologize for it know the McKinney Precedent absolves me of any punishment! WOO HOO!
That will only work if you apologize on the House floor!

Heard a blurp yesterday the Tom DeLay was bringing ethics charges against her. Only heard it once and no more.
Did anyone else hear this?

Is she apologizing for calling the cop a racist and sexist on national tv? That is at least as bad as slapping the guy in the chest.

If she was sincere she'd apologize in person to the officer. She knows she's potentially screwed.
I'm surprised she didn't blame her actions on PMS

Not good enough.
That apology isn't even sincere. It's being forced by the Dem leadership.
There are legal consequences to her actions. She should pay them.

I suspect the DNC is looking for a replacement and is refusing to grant election funds to her as well.
She's history.
