Sorry but you print a sky is falling thread as if its the truth and then starting posting replies we have no choice they are going to win we must nuke them.
Does any one on this site apart from a few ex military actually know what and how we are fighting. What Islamic groups there are how they are linked there weaknesses and strengths, apart from New York, Madrid and London how many real strikes have they made that has brought them any closer to the collapse of Western Civilization
All this erabai rubbish.
The Western European country with the biggest Muslim majority is France with a wopping 9%.
Britain with the Capitol city cheerfully labeled Londinstan has a Total population: 58.8 million and a Muslim population: 1.6 million (2.8%) .
The Arab nations are divided there leadership can only keep power by force of repression, look at Iraq where they fight each other. Look at Iran they spend as much on security repression as they do on there defense.
Someone pleases explain to me how they get to take over the world unless we eradicate the Islamic population.
Clearly, your knowledge of history and the link between actions and consequences, are no better.
Are you aware that 19 represents merely 0.6% of 3000?
Stick to posturing.
That's very short sighted. In two generations, due to birth rates ALONE, muslims will be the majority in France and approaching the majority in most of Europe. They will our-breed them in our Grandchildren's lifetime...and that is a fact (6 children per family in France). Now once they have a majority in the vote, what's going to happen? Look at the trends in Islam. Is it trending more fundementalist or more liberal? You cannot take a snapshot of the present and expect to come up with an answer.
I am current military...about to be retired. I have my own opinions on how we are fighting this war, and those will wait until after I am retired. I can say, however, that we are not near ruthless enough in this "war on terror." This enemy does not understand "diplomacy." They only understand convert or die. Period.
Think about it.
Fear:
Mexicans protest in the American Southwest, politicians give them amnesty, with the help of businesses.
Riots in France, and the politicians cower and mollycoddle those perpetrating the riots.
People loudly protesting trailers for a movie depicting the fateful events of United flight 93, not willing to face a replay of the horror on that day--and politicians and the media helping those people to stick their heads in the sand.
Freeing a country from the grip of the Taliban, only to see it turn around and almost execute a man for converting to Christianity--and then making 'strong words' about said action, without a clear notice to back up those words.
Not calling Muslim perpetrators of horrors against non-Muslims by their real name ( i.e. Muslim ).
As to self-interest?
Turning Washington DC into an armed camp, to protect the skins of the political class, while two political parties decide to fight over scraps of power.
Businesses pushing to keep the borders wide open for cheap labor.
Not taking a hard line against regimes who suppress their people because of a need for cheap oil.
Portraying Islamic killers and invaders over the Southern border in a favorable light, while simultaneously portraying those who take affront as 'backwards', 'racist', 'unenlightened', all because those who have taken affront are Patriotic or do not agree with slave labor.
Using Islam as a way to leverage a way into power in politics ( Sometimes called 'riding the tiger' ).
Do you think, for one moment, those who see the debacle American politicians are performing, all for the sake of gaining a political office, do not interpret said kabuki show as a sign that the US is not serious?
Or that Europe is not cowering in fear ( well, maybe not cowering, but that is the perception )?
That story by the author is very, very powerful--and shines a big bright spotlight on the sad nature of what is going on.
Someone pleases explain to me how they get to take over the world unless we eradicate the Islamic population. It's akin to the "global warming" lobby saying we must give the government control of the economy. The Islamophobes have a goal they wish to achieve, and they claim a crisis will happen unless it's achieved. But the goal came first.
I have yet to encounter anyone who's spent time in Afghanistan or Iraq who shares this bizarre viewpoint.

Thank God. A common sense response. I was starting to wonder....
We aren't eradicating ANYONE.
You can just drop that line of thinking right now.
I am not the fear-mongering type but from a historical point of view, Saladin united the Muslim tribes and did a hell of a lot of damage to the Western world as it was then. Granted their management style is piss-poor but we need to be vigilant to keep it that way.
I don't see a call for eradication of populations, I see a call for fighting the fight that needs to be fought, and doing so ruthlessly. In particular, the references to Iran are the heart of the piece. I think he is saying Step One is do unto the mullahs before they do unto us...or Israel.
As for your demographic stats, consider this: 19 guys killed 3,000 people.
A tiny percentage of the Iraqi population, properly armed and organized, kept the rest of the population terrorized for over three decades.
This is about asymetric warfare. Tiny numbers do not matter if they have will, technology and a victim set that is not ready to fight back. Asymetric warfare and a glorification of suicide can make a boxcutter into a WMD.
I am sure your nbrs are right. I have no way or even desire to dispute them.
What about when the inevitable admission of Turkey into the EU comes to be?
Someone pleases explain to me how they get to take over the world
sh sh sh sh - none of that common sense. panic is in the air.
Time traveler bump for retrospection...where does the world stand now Mr. Cavanagh?
