Rare conditions could have conspired to create hard-to-see ice on the Sea of Galilee that a person could have walked on back when Jesus is said to have walked on water, a scientist said today.

The study, which examines a combination of favorable water and environmental conditions, proposes that Jesus could have walked on an isolated patch of floating ice on what is now known as Lake Kinneret in northern Israel.

They'll come up with some thing like... "Well there's a drug found in a certain plant that causes the heart beat to slow down to such an extent that it seems like the person is dead but in fact....."

The magic words there are "Rare" and "Could have." That's like saying Jesus could have had a twin brother, never mentioned before or since, who made it seem as if He had risen from the dead. Besides, that theory doesn't explain why Peter was able to walk up to Jesus, but then sink when he became afraid. I'm sticking to the Bible.

Amazing that Peter fell through the ICE! And more amazing, the boat was ON THE ICE while they were fishing! Those were some great miracles!

Wouldn't be surprised if this guy was involved in the study that said prayer doesn't help healing. All people like this guy are doing is trying to convince themselves that the Bible is untrue. Maybe its working for him but it sure isn't working for believers. Thank God.

This is the same hypothetical thinking when historians said Red Sea was only ankle deep and was really named the reed sea. I thought cool God drown a whole army of Egyptians in ankle deep water.

It seems to me that it would be easier to explain walking on water than for the conditions to be "just right" long enough to produce ice think enough to support an adult.
