Previous policies were creating a hostile work place for criminals.
If this doesn't solve the problem, homeowners may be forced to vacate their homes between 1:00 and 3:00 in the afternoon, tuesdays and thursdays.
Crack down on those evil ones, the ones not wearing seat belts!
If you see anyone in a vehicle using a cell phone, bust them!
There are those Crimes that are Crimes only because they bring INCOME to the City, County, State and you can bet, these "safe" criminals will be prosecuted to the full extent of their pocketbook.
This story is not news, it's obvious.

I did not read the story, since I don't dial 911 anyway, Burglers and Tresspassers do not fear the local cops, they are more worried about me, therefore I really don't care that the Cops give the crooks a pass.

This is no different than our government is doing. The Brits are just doing it for everyone instead of just for a preferred group. They must have consulted Bush/Kennedy/McCain/Hillary on this.

Let's not forget those eeeeevvvviiiillll smokers.
We'll start the itinerary by vandalizing a house, then we'll break into it. If there are underage kids around we'll have sex with them, then burn the house down. If no kids are around we'll just burn the house down.
This is going to be so fun. We can provoke the homeowner into trying to defend himself and watch him get locked up.

For criminals over 18, who admit offences ranked at the third level of seriousness, the instruction is: "Normally charge but a simple caution may be appropriate if first offence".
If they always steal at the same level they are therefore always sent home with a caution.

True. I checked out the Dubai website not long ago after reading something right here on FR and noticed how they glowingly mentioned the low crime rate and that goods waiting to be shipped out of port or recently offloaded could sit on the docks with no worries about theft and just had to laugh because I know that the reason for that was the harsh way that criminals are dealt with there even though the website never mentioned it. (hey, nice run on sentence)
