"Do people tell you look like John McCain?" "Yes, they do." "Doesn't that make you madder than hell?"That would make me madder than hell, for sure.

He offered anybody in the crowd $50 an hour to pick lettuce in Arizona
Good grief, I'll relocate my children to Arizona when and if they pay $15/hour.

That's funny. According to
this chart at www.opensecrets.org, McCain's gotten quite a bit of his campaign cash from oranized labor. They can't be
too ticked at him...

"I'll take it!" one man shouted.
McCain insisted none of them would do such menial labor for a complete season. "You can't do it, my friends."
What freaking America does McCain live in? Oh, yeah, nevermind.
I know Marines doing THE dirtiest work of all, and they don't get $10/hour.
Man, I can't wait to vote against McCain.

This is why the MSM loves him. He would destroy the Republican party.

They pay 50 an hour to pick lettuce? huh?
To: Diana in Wisconsin
Is McCain's job offer still open?
'cause I'll go scrabble across the border if he's offering $50 an hour to pick lettuce. I'll miss FreeRepublic, but dang, a few years in his fields, I'll be set for life.
Then again, last I checked, most of my lettuce comes from South America, and an illegal here means nothing towards the price from there.

is he running as a republican or a democrat?
To: Diana in Wisconsin
"If you like, I will leave," McCain told the AFL-CIO's Building and Construction Trades Department, pivoting briefly from the lectern. He returned to the microphone after the crowd quieted. "OK, then please give me the courtesy I would give you."
Prime Exhibit A in why this loon will never be elected President.
That said, they should have told him to leave!
