I passed thru El Paso on Saturday.

I stopped to fill up at three Exxon stations.

The card readers were either damaged or disabled at all three stations, forcing me to enter the store to present my credit card.

Not a single one of the attendants could speak or understand a word of English.

I finally found a working card reader at a Fina. I don't know whether the attendant there could speak English or not.

Compromise is willingly giving your opponent that which you would not allow him to take by force.

"Compromise is for sissies. Screw that."

Comporomise is the art of losing using doublespeak!

As Roosevelt said, nothing in politics happens by chance. If it happened, it was intended.

The fact that an ineffective bill is even being discussed means that there is no intent to enforce any law concerning this topic. If I lived elsewhere, I would definitely come here illegally, because it is impossible to get here in a reasonable time otherwise.

When it is easier to steal something than earn it, then most will steal it. So it is with immigration.

I am feeling very much as though I will have no candidate in the race, regardless.

"I don't like the "felon" provision BTW"

That's an absolute must!

With that in place no illegal ever caught can ever apply for a green card or immigration.

The do gooders that are aiding them can be put in prison or fined heavy enough to make the paupers.

All the illegals will do is forge papers proving they have been here 10 years. This compromise is ridiculous. There is no way they are going to force half the illegals out if they can't force all of them.

Good point about Dubai.

And you will be made a felon as well, nitwit. But heck, it will be everybody else. Good luck.

Good? What's good about? I see no mention of the rule-of-law concept. No mention of the 'American citizens elected us' concept.

With a fence......many things are possible.

Without a fence.......it's GOP suicide.

Don't be conned- the plan all along was for the House to pass border security so they could look good back home and then for the Senate to do a comprehensive plan and the bills to be merged in committee.

In case you didn't notice, both Hastert and Boehner have been making noises about accepting a guest worker bill.

Exactly...Congress reminds me of the "pearl dealers" in John Steinbeck's book The Pearl. They all work for the same boss and pretend to be bidding independently for the valuable pearl. The high bid is of course below its worth. We are being had once again by the elites.

That's nothing. I live in a mountain town in northern CO. Last summer I was getting gas at the Exxon station. Same as you the card reader was broken. Same as you the attendant couldn't or wouldn't speak English.

"And you will be made a felon as well"

I don't know how, I hsve never hired one and I don't contract out any work of any kind. I won't do work for anyone that does hire them and tell them what a POS they are to their face, in fact I won't do work for a democrap.

I surely wouldn't aid one in any way, i'd spit on them first.

No terms except unconditional and immediate surrender can be accepted. I propose to move immediately upon your works.

- Ulysses S. Grant.

No amnesty, no guest workers, and a fence.

Tancredo for President!

"What we're trying to figure out is something which will be workable so 11 million undocumented will come forward, not create a fugitive class," he (Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb) said.

There's a big problem right there. You're trying to figure out how to appease the cattlemen and processers in your state instead of dealing with the problem. Start fining employers big bucks and send them to jail and the illegals will leave by themselves. Dry up their jobs.

Do you have a United States passport? Have you ever traveled outside of the confines of the United States of America? Invested United States Dollars in an enterprise? Since you have never hired a contractor in any capacity whatsoever, I doubt your credentials as a conservative. Sounds kind of Klannish.

Have fun looking for the Union label, comrade. Spit on me "the man", and enjoy your May Day celebration.

I have a passport, i've probably spent a total of 3 years from a day to 2 weeks at a time over the last 60 years outside the US, I was a contractor for over 40 years but when I remodeled my home I wouldn't even let any of my employees work on it, nobody but myself does work on anything that I own, and that includes all trades. I don't and won't ever own stock in any company other than the stock in my own closely held corp.

Secondly, you csan go straight to hell!

...No mention of a fence...

You know what? Screw em. Can you imagine the outrage if donations poured in to border ranchers to construct a real fence on their own land?

And it was then patroled by volunteers?

Would they then outlaw the protection of private property to benefit the illegals?

I'm wondering how far they are willing to go.

Great. Let us build more prison capacity for anyone that DARES to start an enterprise. And the elderly are a big drag upon the economy, along with the retards. Do you posit that we should exterminate these undesirables for "living room"? Heck, we can get rid of old people, mental retards, and beaners in one fell swoop. I contend that you are a nitwit. Please prove me wrong.
